Well, I am about to have a beer or three !!!

We have a house full of renters next door from "an eastern background". Went out to put some rubbish (trash...) in the dustbin (trash can...)and the guy is trying to jump-start his flat battery from a mates car. They have the positive to positive battery terminals connected by a jump lead, then they reckon that to make a circuit they have to connect to the two bodyworks with the other lead i.e. the painted bonnets .....

Don't work :-))) Cue much gnashing of teeth.

Muggins goes over and says can I help? Connects the other jump lead to the negative battery terminal on one car and an engine compartment earth on the other car, and gets the jump car to start his engine up first. Brrrmmm brrrmmm .... OMG are you a professional mechanic? I was so tempted to say what I really thought ....

In AnnieT speak *exits stage left with brain cells mostly intact* and stagger to beer cache to find it empty. Quick foray to corner shop, and bugger me, they have run out of my favourite 5.6% Warka. Had to settle for some other Polish stuff.

It worked so good that I've had another 2 beers since thanks Monday. ;-)

It is nice here that I can put the mower away for 4mths of the year, but the concrete mow stripping, garden rock/brick borders and 1 colourbond fence has now created a few strips that are fairly high (12-14") over winter now.

Well after swinging the brush-cutter around for about 90mins (would've been longer if I hadn't run out of line) I've got 1 hell of a sore back, my hands are vibrating and a piece of grass in my throat that can't decide if it wants to make me cough or make me choke. :-(

Hopefully a mouth full of this beer will at least cure the last 1 at least (after its shaky pour). ;-)
