Mark, if you are referring to Clyde then I have to be fair to him, he is not a college kid, check out his profile, he is a Nam vet and an ex NYPD Officer. But his views on life are generally inflammatory.

I went referring to Clyde mate was the one you replied to mr I love the EU

"Maybe most Moslems peaceful, but until they recognize and destroy their growing jihadist cancer they must be held responsible." Rupert Murdoch says
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jan/10/rupert-murdoch-muslims-must-be-held-responsible-for-france-terror-attacks
Now its start to be real ugly:(
It's like saying that all Christian countries must be held responsible for all neo-nazist or other fascist terrorists.

Faux no news a/k/a Rupert Murdoch's opinion, will never print this ...

Islamic extremists following a ‘takfiri’ ideology are more offensive to the Prophet Mohammed than Western satirical cartoons, chief of the Lebanese military faction Hezbollah, Hasan Nasrallah, said following the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack.

I have read that too.
Many more muslim communities condemns what has happened.
Even Hamas.
We condemn the attack on Charlie Hebdo and insists that different views can not justify murder.
You can't hold several countries with the same religion responsible for the actions of a few.

But his worldly-wise ability does not extend so far to the Middle East.

We are talking about conflict and terrorism, which are topics that are part of what I'm studying (The EU and International Relations). And besides that, its not that hard to get a basic grasp on whats going on if you simply follow the news and have a decent bit of general knowledge of the world around you.

I assume you are talking about me? But I'm not exactly sure, given your atrocious use of the English language.

And I don't know, perhaps you shouldn't be so dismissive of people with an education, given that you can't even write a single coherent sentence.

micheal don't judge someone buy the way they spell . Politeness is a form of insult . And people can have problems you would not be aware of . If your so smart you should be able to read phonetically and still understand people .

If you simply follow the news i.e. newspapers, radio, TV, i.e. the "media" then you will get the slanted view that the news providers are happy to give you for their own purposes. That is not the way to get an educated view of what is really going on. You need to look at the analysis behind the news. There are many current affairs programs in most European countries that will give you a broad commentary from a number of aspects.

Or it that not what your university course teaches you?

Sure, but its kinda what I meant. I should have clearly stated that though :)

Oh, I understand that some people may have trouble spelling for very valid reasons. At the same time, most if not all internet browsers have spell checkers. In 95% of the cases you can get the right spelling with 2 mouse clicks.

However, there is a difference between misspelling words and being unable to come up with a proper sentence structure. I can read through spelling errors, but if the sentence structure makes no sense, well then I need to start guessing at what someone meant. Mark's post don't contain a lot of spelling errors, its just that the words combined don't form a logical sentence and as a result I'm not sure what he's saying.

Ok folks, time to calm it down before the thread gets locked.

Coming from someone who incites matters as well? Give me a break!

It seems dumbness & education are birds of the same feather, neither knows when to stop getting personal.

Returning to the topic at hand:

It's hypocritical of those who hold sway over the masses a la Murdoch. The problems do not lay at ground level, it is much higher. The judge in the Abu Hamza case stated it nicely...

Have fun in the Supermax Hotel

..."He had used his powerbase at the Finsbury Park Mosque in north London to encourage his followers to train and fight in the cause of jihad."

& therein lies the problem! It is down to those of Islamic faith to kick the extremists out of their mosques rather than vocally condemn incidents which have occurred recently.

Only then, we may see some improvements.

I let Glenn's post dismissing my dyslexia as nothing compared to his pass a while ago, but with this kerfuffle .....

First not all dyslexia manifests itself in the same way or to the same severity. Letter transposes are very common. Transposing letters between words, which I do, is also common. I believe that wavy red line from the spell check. I don't seem to have much of an issue on reading, which I'm happy for, others do. I also have a touch in the hearing department, and will sometimes hear phonics out of order or the wrong sound will arrive at the brain. As Angela noticed, I also have a trace of speech difficulty. Fortunately got therapy for that in grade school and got rid of 99% of it. Unfortunately after some dental work, a bit has returned and Angela, who has a trained ear, heard it. Se le vie.

Spending a couple of years in grade school being called a stupid idiot by all your classmates is no fun. It affects you forever. From Glenn's description I'm sure he has had it much worse than I, and I feel for him. I'll try and remember when answering, but if I forget, I'm also suffering from CRS.

Stop with the spelling flames. We also have English, Australians, and Americans here, who do not share a common language! We have very different idioms and have many different nouns for the same things. We ascribe different nuances to verbs as well.

Everyone, unless it is obvious like worm's posts, ask politely if you don't understand something and especially if there are two, or more, possible meanings to some phrase. Then you can be assured your flame is appropriate.

Remember the civil rights screaming when the LAPD, NYPD and FBI put undercover agents in Mosques? Someone needs to be listening to who is recruiting for jihad. Those that seek to attack in the name of jihad need to be removed from society as they are minions of Satan. I finally think a few leaders are beginning to see that violence does not work to get the change they seek.

Martin Luther King Jr. wrote:
Violence begets violence; hate begets hate; and toughness begets a greater toughness. It is all a descending spiral, and the end is destruction — for everybody. Along the way of life, someone must have enough sense and morality to cut off the chain of hate.

Exactly, so to prevent the Islamic Faith from screaming at the top of their lungs at interference from kuffars, it's time they started policing themselves.

Gary if you do have Dislexia fine but remember this i have never had a go at anybody for there bad spelling or grammer but other here do . I have never spoken to you Gary so i would not have any way of hearing your speech problems .

Stop with the spelling flames. We also have English, Australians, and Americans here, who do not share a common language! We have very different idioms and have many different nouns for the same things. We ascribe different nuances to verbs as well.

This statement is correct people should remember it .

I do dislike people being to polite as some here use it to talk down or insult people but still stay within the rules and is very arrogant

If you live in a glass house don't throw stones at others or it will be your house that will need to be rebuilt.

Also many comments made are not Dislexia but straight out nasty , or Racist , bigotry .

And your are right in the fact i did get in heaps of fights at school and 1/2 of them i started just for fun not because i was being picked on either . I just never let people put me down or other's and also why i got into fights as i would step in if someone whom could not defend them self was being pick on or stood over . And no i was not a bully i'm the one whom put the bully's on there arse . I in fact spent most of my high school in the libaray trying to learn how to read and spell or down the back paddock having a smoke with all the cool kids.

And the west has done nothing wrong and shares no blame for what is happening right .

The world made the Germans pay for starting wwI but that didn't pan out to good .

We should not criticize Israel or the Sudia's even thou Israel wont give up Jerusalem and sign the accord and the Sudia's don't have Mecca or give money to the radicals behind what is going on .

These 2 things have no bearing on what has happened and is now happening .

Mecca is where the power of Islam should be but the Sudia's are allowed to keep quiet even thou it's the most holy of holy places .
The Harjj is just a religious gathering not a place for plans to be made contacts to be formed and money to exchange hands could it .

There our friends right

just saying words are cheap
