The aircraft made only one brief flight on November 2, 1947, and the project never advanced beyond the single example produced.

Right, and it was a fairly low level flight. I am not certain it made it out of ground effect.

Interesting looking plane tho. Saw her while she was still on excibit in Long Beach.

I saw the movie and it was pretty impressive (ground effect or not) in those days getting that huge baby into the air.
