Is downloading Seti@Home work still an issue for Mac users? 9/29/14

I installed it on several devices, including my Mac. On the mac, it installed just fine, hooked to Seti@Home just fine, but when it tries to download work it looks like it's finishing the downloads but they all say failed. I tried attaching my Mac to another project and everything works just fine, so this appears to be uniquely Seti@home having the issue. It looks like there are some threads on here talking about this issue, but they're old, is this still a problem with Seti@Home and BOINC on the Mac? ID: 1579468 ·

Currently there are only applications for the CPU portion of the Macs. There is beta testing going on right now for the Nvidia Graphic cards in the MacBook Pros and Imacs. There is also apps for the iGPU in the Macbooks and iMacs that seem to work Iris Pro Graphics in those. So, hopefully we will see these released in the near future. Can you post the first 30 lines of the Event Log so we can look at it and see if there is a problem. It's more than 30 lines, but there were some errors so I thought I'd post them too. Also, I already tried the telling the client to skip verification, it didn't seem to help. Seti@home jobs seem to download, then immediately fail. I've also tried deleting and reconnecting the account. Do I need to reboot after unpicking the box? edit I tried rebooting, it didn't fix the problem. Also, I noticed that it says "Communication deferred" most of the time. ID: 1579855 ·

Do you have a firewall or antivirus running on that computer? If so, try turning them off and relaunching BOINC. See if those downloads go through then. Sometimes the antivirus will block BOINC or even think that the files are viruses and block them. That's cover also in a different thread somewhere. ID: 1579879 ·

Of note, I also run Einstein@Home on the Mac and that's working just fine, work is downloaded and uploaded without issue. Whatever is going on seems to be specific to Seti@Home. ID: 1579889 ·

Take a look at this thread as well. It's from the beta site but also describe same problem. The link he includes is from the beta site but it's still the same file.
