Im guessing that Ap on v7 will pay like MB on v7. The same.
It wont pay anymore to run AP work only. Thats just my guess though.

that's what I'm guessing too. Out of all the tasks that have been validated none has "paid" more than 198 credits...

for now I'm running stock AP v7 but these tasks complete in 40-45 minutes and I also see my wingman on all 4 are a Mac so let's wait a bit.

*sigh, since AP's stopped validating my RAC has also dropped 10k now*

If the blanked tasks take less time than using v6 (as they will), then you would expect less credit per task, but more tasks per day, resulting in the same RAC.

If the credit system worked as documented, that is. ;)

Should it matter at all? Blanked tasks were always excluded from "completed" tasks... So, should not influence credit granting, not ?

I could say the obvious, but I think maybe I'd better hold my tongue.

My understanding was that they were excluded from the "estimated time" calculations, but that they were included in the credit normalization.

As somebody said in the one of the AP v7 threads, he saw some very low credit grants at Beta, but after enough tasks had validated, the norm came up. It's still early in the process here on mainside, we'll have to wait and see how it goes......

I have had no ap v6 credit posted (validated) for over a day now ... so my RAC continues to fall ... just like everyine else I suppose.

Q) how do I get AP V7 to download?? I have checked the box on the pref's page, renamed app_info out of the way, restarted Boinc, reset the project, restarted Boinc ... now all I get is requests for Nvidia work and 0 sent ... what's the magic I need??

You need luck of the draw. I have some machines that are getting AP V7 tasks & some that are not. It is very early and the tapes are almost done being split so I expect not a large number of machines will get work the first time out.

I guess this must be written by the casino vendors ... I have 6 boinc's requesting AP's and none have gotten one yet ... just like a casino ... ;-)

Looks like the AP waiting to be validated has finally peaked.

Scratch that, it's stared climbing again.
