Okay. So that was an interesting roll of bin bags I purchased today. Alternates between a: bag open at both ends, and one; sealed at both ends. This is not the first time I have come across such a divertingly original design modification - but I hope it's the last time I empty the cat litter tray onto the floor :/

Edit: oops forgot to say hello... AND cheers. Hello everyone!! CHEERS! :)

Good Morning everyone,
Well one day short of a month in the hospital, its good to see blue skies and good air. spent 2 weeks in the hospital and 2 weeks in rehab but now I'm ready to rock and roll. The COPD had the upper hand on me but now I'm taking over. :)

I hope you all been good.

Woohoo!!! You're back!:)) Sorry to hear about your health problems Grant but very glad to hear you're taking over again now!!

Saturday's beer o'clock in 7 hours...

Ah I have had that!! They are manufactured in a long tube, and what is supposed to happen is that depending upon the length of the bags, at preset intervals, they will apply a row of perforations next to a row of sealing. What happens is that the sealing is either not applied properly, or too hard, and vice versa with the perforations. The net result when tearing a bag off is as you describe, either open or sealed at both ends, when you separate across the wrong row.

The problem is with the cheapy stuff you get in street markets for £1 a roll, the black bags being the worst. If you get one of those rolls, you just have to be careful how you separate the bags, and test for containment first before filling. It actually pays to buy the better stuff from supermarkets and shops.

That's a thorough explanation. Funnily enough, I've encountered it, too.

As stated, we've been VERY worried about you. Glad to hear you are getting better. I hope your health continues to improve. Also, just wanted to let you know that your home phone got disconnected; I'm sure you will remedy that. Good to have you back, Grant! :-)

Sure is nice being home but I must say the rehab's food was a lot better than my cooking. :))

I went to go and hit the store last night only to find my battery on my car was dead after sitting a month didn't do it any good. I needed a restock on my beer which one bottle in house wasn't going to cut it. :( So I ended up doing without.

Good to see everyone seems to be doing okay, I'll be back later when I get it together here.
Cheers everybody
