A bit of gas has been released here today I can tell ya's and a bit more is yet to come. ;-)

Cheers.

When I visited the Wild Turkey distillery here in Kentucky, they let us up on the catwalks where the big vats of bourbon were in various stages of fermentation, and that stuff was bubbling and belching up a storm. They even let us stick our fingers down in the mash and taste it raw. They said we couldn't contaminate it at that stage.

Yes Gordon, it's pretty hard to contaminate spirits whereas it's very easy to contaminate beer and wine brews.

G'day Julie, let the beer flow and release the gases (the quicker the better to avoid belly aches). ;-)

Oh well, I think that I've had enough beer for the day so it must now be Rum O'clock. :-D

Cheers.

I'm not really a bourbon drinker, but the aging warehouse where the barrels are stored had an intoxicating aroma. :~}

Bourbon fudge is pretty good, too.

They have been here for a few years now. There are 5 stores in geelong alone.

Aldi operates in several countries now and they have been here in Aussieland since 2001 with over 300 store up and down our eastern states Gordon. ;-)

Internationally, ALDI Nord operates in Denmark, France, the Benelux countries, the Iberian peninsula, and Poland, while ALDI Süd operates in Ireland, Great Britain, Hungary, Switzerland, Australia, Austria, and Slovenia (ALDI Süd operates as Hofer within the latter two countries mentioned). Both ALDI Nord and Aldi Süd also operate in the United States; Aldi Nord is owner of the Trader Joe's chain while Aldi Süd operates as Aldi.

The big question is, who's next?

Cheers.

Wow. I had no idea. I just thought they were some sort of oddball regional little chain here. The last time I was in one, it didn't seem like they carried any normal name brand stuff.

OK here we go...

Hmmm nice, smooth and malty.
I dont think Victoria Bitter has anything to worry about though! If only it came in one litre cans.

The maltiness factor sounds good to me. There's a nitro-porter beer I like that has a coffee/malty taste, and is smooth like a Guinness.

I dont know much about beer but now that you mention it this one does have a guinness like taste and I do love a pint or ten of Guinness. One thing for sure is if you drink enough of these stiens you will have one big strong arm.

Oktoberfest 2014 starting on Saturday, 20th September until Sunday the 5th of October
With some six million people attending every year, it is an important part of Bavarian culture. Think Disneyland for adults.
I had a pair of these when I was a kid:) Mandatory at Oktoberfest.

I started drinking Bacardi and coke when I was 12 years old so I have a bit of a taste for it. As far as rum goes , the white rum is definately better than the brown stuff. The Bundaberg bears wouldn't agree with me here but what would polar bears know?
