I have read it, and yes, clearly the people at IS have done so as well, or at least have some basic understanding of what the book says.

But again, the most important principle on which we have based our entire military doctrine is speed. And an enemy like IS denies us our superior mastery of speed. Their style of fighting has far more to do with Mao Zedong's ideas on guerrilla warfare. Our military is fundamentally not equipped to deal with that type of enemy.

Maybe you should read it again. It clearly says you need to know your enemy and know yourself if you want to win. You clearly don't know your enemy or yourself given that you think the US military can fight this type of enemy and win.

The US should not use its military except when the mission is to obtain an instrument of surrender. Don't forget that instrument of surrender terminates the enemy, they have no land or possessions, their subjects are now your slaves. Perhaps you never saw an item marked "Made in Occupied Japan" or "Made in Occupied Germany."
