Hello, Radio Astronomers, use the Radio Table of Elements, to use their telescopes to tell them what gas clouds are made of. What are the potential top fuels for space travel? He3, or tritium, deuterium, and Uranium. If I have liquid fissile helium, liquid fissile hydrogen, and a Uranium Pile reactor, I can heat up my fuel from a liquid to gaseous state and still keep warm as well have power in space. So, if we were to send a signal into space, not knowing any alien languages, wouldn't it be something an AI Prospecting Probe would be sent out for? So, with a linear amplifier in the microwave spectrum, a gram of each, and the RF produced by those elements and their decay, should draw probes. I would invite all branches of the military to a probe turkey shoot. If it's too small to fit in, then shoot, and those are the only rules. We could then have the bomb squad, pick up all of the pieces, send it to a place where each fragment could be ground down with a lens polisher, and yea, they can take anything down just few atoms at a time. Then scour it with an spectrum analyzing electron microscope, and reconstruct any atomic structure we discover. If we find crystalline structures, then we send it off to an x-ray lab so that they can reconstruct the molecular structures there. We could reconstruct anything from there. Consider this, we haven't discovered any real new elements in space using any form of spectrolysis or spectrum analysis. So, they don't have any elements we don't, therefore, we should be able to do anything they can. Main point, we may not talking too them but, we could damn well learn how to fly. |

Really interesting thoughts James, but I'm afraid it's a bit more complicated than that. Humankind and its technology is still in its infancy and then we have the E=mc² issue as well... http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/physics/legacy-of-e-equals-mc2.html Mind boggling... rOZZ Music Pictures |
