I read on the internet that after one hundreds stings you become immune and gain superpowers. If it was on the internet it must be true :) I'll keep it secret too... wonder what the superpowers are... Latest catchup post... sorry to hear your car is still playing up David... and hope your knee is better Donald... |

I read on the internet that after one hundreds stings you become immune and gain superpowers. Did some mention ketchup? The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Ahhh...my favorite brand as a matter of fact. And Lori makes fun of me once in a while, as I am one of those who does not consider ketchup a condiment, but rather, a food group. So, for many years, I buy the ketchup for her house so I don't have to endure guilt pangs about my consumption level....LOL. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Waiting on UPS or Fed-x packages myself. Need to rebuild the suspension on the Olds Ciera. Ordered through Amazon..... 2 loaded front strut/shock/spring/bearing assemblies. 4 lower control arm bushings. 2 ball joints. 2 rear shocks. 2 rear springs. And 2 rear spring isolators. I was gonna go for the partridge in the pear tree as well, but thought better of it. I have about $550.00 or so in the parts. And I figure my mechanic is gonna charge me around $200.00 for the labor to install said parts. He is an honest Joe, and is happy to charge me labor for his work and let me procure the parts. He also allows me to be hands on under the hoist, so I can actually cut down a bit on the time taken by assisting. I AM somewhat of a wrench man myself....LOL. Put the new motor in my RX7 with my buddy's help. Now if $750.00 sounds like a lot, it ain't. The tire shop that did the last alignment job quoted a bit over $1000.00, and they did not include new springs and isolators in the rear, OR the new ball joints. Interesting, I just need to eventually get a few things done, like the following: 4qts Royal Purple 5w30 oil change, 4 Motorcraft Platinum spark plugs, a transmission fluid change, vacuum(acts up when the half fixed a/c is on, idle goes up and down), diagnose/fix(hopefully) the car a/c under the dash($105 an hour @ Ford), replace the tachometer with a used low mileage oem version. The first 4 things I'm going to do in November, the a/c and tach maybe in December. The Escort zx2 is obsolete according to Ford, so there is no guarantee that the car a/c can be fixed, since the needed part or parts might not be available anymore. Heinz is a little zippier than Hunt's. Therefore my preference. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Interesting, I just need to eventually get a few things done, like the following: There are aftermarket parts available for many old applications. My 1990 Olds Ciera is a good example. If it comes down to finding boneyard parts, I have a very good link for you. It connects to thousands of salvage yards across the US. I have found an ECU for my 24 yo car on this site. Give it a try. Car-part.com You fill in your car info and the part you are looking for, and it is broadcast to junk yard dogs across the nation. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Well since the a/c part(s) that are leaking is behind the dash, I have no idea what it could be. I've bought from there once, but I'll go look at the link, maybe they'll have a clue. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Vic, it's a car part search site if you know what you need. Not a troubleshooting forum. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Then don't use the link until you know exactly what part you require if your mechanics cannot provide it due to the car's age. It is a simple part search mechanism that connects to salvage yards, not repair mechanics. There are dedicated forums on most US made vehicles if you want to discuss your problems and perchance find others with the same difficulties. Jesus, Vic. You know the power of the internet. Use it, ferchrissakes. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
