One of the people on FB mentioned this:

"or you can make a 'cat-serole'"

I kid you not...

And no I wouldn't make one...

Angela, wonder if we know anyone ....

That name Eric Korpela for the red line looks familiar.

Not often I suspect that people who have met end up a couple spots apart on the credit graphs.

Sorry I'd rather buy a case made of metal and plastic, Cats love to shred cardboard and Mine has sharp 1/4" claws...

Not to mention that cardboard is an insulator as well as a fire hazard. :-O

I was hunting through bing.com and found this nice looking number cruncher.
The case is a "D-Frame".

Next month I'm getting an Azza GT1 case, just to repair this PC, since it has a number of problems, one of which is the power and rest buttons on the current case don't work anymore. I did get a Cooler Master Glacer cpu cooler in today by UPS. So I'm right on schedule for next month, after that it'll be some work on the car, a power board for a Viewsonic monitor, etc, etc, etc...

No, that won't hold My newer used motherboard. The cost is reasonable for a full tower, it should still be $139.74 with shipping and sales tax by December 1st, so far the cost is right on target w/25 days to go before I buy it.

The traditional method: My computer went up in a puff of smoke.

The cardboard method: My computer went up in a GIGANTIC FIREBALL!!!! that threatened to burn down the house.

I think I know which I prefer.

Watch Raccoons Escape Trash Can—Are Urban Animals Getting Smarter?

http://voices.nationalgeographic.com/2014/10/15/raccoons-animals-science-suburbs-evolution-intelligence/

Suzie-Q, you really had me worried for a bit that the trash can tippers, once inside the garbage bin, would not be able to escape. Whew!!! Thank goodness they are so clever and determined. I am relieved that no raccoons were harmed in the filming of that video.

I am happy to announce that we have a new raccoon visitor. First though, let me say that we have had an extraordinarily poor year for raccoons. We have had skunks in super abundance and regular opossum visitors, but very few raccoons.

One lone male, Herman Von Vermin, shows up a few times a week. He is a very healthy and robust male... at least, we think he is a male. A pair of bachelor brothers, Big Guy and Little Guy, show up about once a month. Anyway, that has pretty much been it for raccoon visitors, all spring, summer and fall, but tonight we encountered a new raccoon!!!

Her name is Snowball, because she is the lightest raccoon we have ever seen. She is not an albino, as she does have distinctive coloration variation, but she has super light fur. Eric looked up raccoon coloration on "the internets" and it seems that very light raccoons are normal possible genetic variations. They are referred to as "blonde raccoons" or "cinnamon raccoons", depending on how much red is in their coats. In all the years I have been feeding raccoons, I have NEVER seen a raccoon as light as Snowball before.

Snowball appears to be a "blonde", not a "cinnamon" raccoon, at least as far as we can tell without going outside, which would terrify her. She is definitely NOT one of our former babies, as we most definitely would have noticed a raccoon baby of this distinct coloration. We hope she returns, night after night. We hope she returns next summer with kits. Frankly, we don't even know if she is a girl, but since Snowball sounds like a girl's name, we are hoping that "it" is a "she", and that "she" will bring me raccoon kits that dance around my feet next summer. I really missed that this year.

Snowball is mighty wary of me at this point, and she is light years away from having her picture taken. I shall do my best to socialize her if she returns, but it is much easier to socialize raccoon kits than it is to socialize adult raccoons.

Still, we are happy for ANY raccoons this year!!!

Snowball looks like this picture of a "blonde raccoon" that I found in Google Images.

This photo of a raccoon mama and kits shows more typical raccoon coloration.

Albinism can occur in raccoons, but I cannot imagine that these kits do well.
Reflecting moonlight (and street light) would be an evolutionary disadvantage for a nocturnal animal.
Furthermore, having impaired vision secondary to albinism would make it more challenging for an albino raccoon to find food.
