Just a small insert here. The Canadian Mint makes So does the US Mint and a lot of other nations'. When I was a kid, my grandmother got me started collecting pennies. Then she started collecting Bicentennial quarters for me. Several years ago, she moved the whole hoard into my bedroom. I let them sit for a few more years, then spent them. (Money was tight and I figured so many people saved them they were never going to be worth more than 25c anyway.) I mostly succeeded in collecting one quarter from each mint for each state, when they were doing those. I started on the National Parks series, too, but rarely see them. I did not go for the Presidential gold dollars. I have some other stuff sitting around, proof sets and loose Liberty dollars in poor to fair condition. Those are probably only worth the silver. Also some silver certificate dollars, which are worth $1.25 at best. A few $2 bills postmarked on the first day of issue. Off topic, sort of. I see the 25% badge is no longer showing up in the "Author" box when I post. I guess that means I've lost that status. Am I right? I'm surprised that it's possible to lose status like that just due to the way that BOINC and seti@home work. I mean, I have my computers (2) running 24/7, so it seems I'd move up instead of down. Unless new people are running more tasks on faster computers, I guess. In any case, it makes me sad that I no longer warrant a badge. :-( ~Sue~ |

Sadly you're correct in your assumption Suzie. New GPU's with a long AP run would've combined to push you down the ladder. :-( Cheers. |

Sadly you're correct in your assumption Suzie. There'll be no cheers in Sueville tonight. :-( ~Sue~ |

Instead of the hard rubber mat on which the cow shed before is now a nearly two decimeter thick mattress with a protective layer of Goretex which are developed to give the cows a more comfortable life. - Research has shown that the milk is produced when the cow is lying down says Göran Thorsson, barn foreman on Nils gymnasium natural resource programs in Skurup. After just a few weeks with the new matress seems both cows and those who care for them to be completely satisfied, but there is a problem. - We have a tough job to get them up in the morning, he says, smiling a wide smile. We will be here just after five in the morning and before the mats the cows were all up and about. But now they stays and is not always easy to get up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0JslDyVqf0 |

Sadly you're correct in your assumption Suzie. Haven't had badge degradation yet, but I have noticed the RAC has slipped. Something isn't right is Setiville. Has anyone else had a faint whisp of Dr.A? |

Question: While looking at my favorite Candy Bar, an Amazon ad popped up, letting me know, that 0.5% of every purchase can be donated to my favorite Charity. A search brought up Foundation for investing in Research on Seti Science in Berkeley. Can anyone confirm, would this go to our SETI? Pluto will always be a planet to me. Question: I honestly think Eric would have mentioned it somewhere. I guess its for one of the other Seti projects not Seti@home. Of course i could be mistaken. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

Question: http://companies.findthebest.com/l/33246787/Foundation-For-Investing-In-Research-On-Seti-Science-And-Technology-in-Berkeley-CA Not sure. Might be for other Seti Projects at the SSL. Don't think it is for the Seti Institute though. May be too new to have a http://www.guidestar.org/ listing. |

Foundation For Investing In Research On Seti Science And Technology (FIRSST) is a new foundation that we are participating in. Primarily FIRSST will be seeking large donations so that SETI projects aren't working on minimal year to year funding. But FIRSST will be independent. There's no guarantee that any specific project will be funded unless the donors specifically support a project. If you want to fund SETI@home, it's best to do so through our web site links. If you're a billionaire, on the other hand, who wants to support a SETI project for a decade or so, FIRSST may be the way to go. @SETIEric@qoto.org (Mastodon) |

Blub blub ..... Having a degree in Advertising and Graphic Design, and being somewhat adept at using Adobe Illustrator, I think I can probably make some pretty impressive badges myself. Thanks for the idea. @Janneseti and the cows... Awwwwwww and :)))))) ~Sue~ |
