presavence - as in: having the presavence of mind to remember to remember something you reminded yourself - not to forget, but to remember.

saven'crepe - pancake day aerobatic attempts to intercept an ineptly tossed delicacy?

oh...and did we say we like humans too? Well we do :)

I get an impression of it at first glance, but I'd need an additional E and R.

Ah, David, you are very good. :~)

I just discovered I accidentally left out an e and an r in my scramble! I am so sorry - not intentional. :~( Sorry to make your head explode, Annie.

Here it is again, with the other two letters it needs:

I think David probably had it first(if I hadn't been a dummy and left out those two letters!). Let's see what he says.

Yes, that was what I was thinking. However, Admiral can have it. I have already ignored the thread for two days and may not have much time to monitor it for winning guesses this week.

Yes. It is :)

tauquacrule - The hexadecimal foundational entity law governing the substitution protocols for the 19th letter of the Greek alphabet - specifically into markup constructs. Without its application, it is generally accepted that printed texts the worldover would decay, due to alphabet re-ordering, and thereby become utterly unintelligible. Yes.

or it could of course be:

uatulacquer (pronounced you-aaaa-too then lacquer, you know... in the usual manner) a semi-permanent binding lotion that works much like glue, except for it's adhesive properties forming short elasticated "strings" that when pulled apart, bounce the surfaces they are adhering too, back at each other with tremendous force. Traditionally smeared onto two or more individuals (who have reached a point of no return over one or other's opinion - and begun being just plain ...erm... insulting) the lacquer, as a means of argument resolution is galaxy-renowned for its peace promoting effects, and does not appear - at this point - to be available on earth.

aquaReucult - a virtually unknown water-based religion (no longer practised) that briefly sprung up following Peleg's son Reu, accidentally spilling his water urn inside the tower of Babel.

There! MUST be one of those :)

Aquaculture, also known as aquafarming, is the farming of aquatic organisms such as fish, crustaceans, molluscs and aquatic plants.

PM on the way.

Well... clearly *blink to convey no astonishment at all* everyone is grasping at thin air in here. I think I can stretch to a clue :)

Begins with A and ends with S.

Begins with A and ends with S.

That S isn't just there to make the word plural, or change its verb state, or anything like that, is it?

Oh. Well yes it does make for a "them" rather than a he or she, David. Good point. In view of this, I will now say the word ends in an N (and is then followed by an S for purposes of pluralising) :)

And it does introduce with one of them things that quintessence is considered the fifth of, you know, of the four, much like the previous word did...

There... *lower eyebrows to rest on end of nose* That WILL have helped you all enormously :)
