Lovely Jubbly or in the words of the biggest tax evader in Europe "Lovely Bubbly"

Juncker's creditibility shaken

A superb comment...

"When Junket Juncker was being elected as Commission President, the UK resisted his appointment. Most of the rest of the EU weaklings gave in, including Germany, for the sake of 'unity'. How many times has the UK got to put forward decent proposals and suggestions for reform before the rest of the EU weaklings take them seriously?"

Apologies for the late response, was on a mini hiatus.
Thank you sooooo much for this link.

No problem Alex, these threads will be going for some time, they stop when the EU dies :-)

Well done Italy....

So no more kissing the pope's ring, you'll be kissing your visitors butts?

...So we'll be seeing I.R.I soon shall we?

Well done Italy....

At last a cover-up story:)
Italian Culture Minister Dario Franceschini, who accompanied Rouhani on the museum trip, called the cover-up "incomprehensible", insisting that neither him nor premier Matteo Renzi had been made aware of the decision in advance.
Meanwhile, a smiling Rouhani told reporters he had "no contact on the subject" with Italian authorities.

The Vatican state is not a member of the EU so kissing the pope's ring doesn't help.

The torch is flaring up well, how long before it hits the the touch paper...

Germany to tighten up ayslum policies

...bit late closing the stable door Merkel, the horse has bolted.

...in other news today, DC comics made all the funny pages...

DC says "long way to go"

..Simple DC, tighten up on immigration in the same way that Europe is beginning to tighten up on ayslum control...

..but you haven't the guts have you?

How much are your rich buddies paying you to allow more cheap labour into the country?

All those lovely votes to keep your party in power.

How many directorships have you been promised the moment you step down?

How long has these European threads being going?

It's about time those sitting on their ivory chairs wake up & realise that the citizens are not that dumb after all...

What took you so long?

...How much longer before Europe blows?

Perhaps a bad example.
There are no refugee childrens in the center of Stockholm.

A witness stated to Aftonbladet that a large group of black-clad and masked people beat people who appeared to have a foreign background.
Police say the men were football hooligans from different "companies".
Before the attack racists spread leaflets entitled "It's enough now" at the Centre.
Police in place confirming Aftonbladet that 40-50 people at 21 o'clock attacked the people who stood at "Plattan".
Currently there are no police reports of ill-treatment in addition to the one currently under arrest, and he attacked a police officer.

This type of attacks have being going on for decades in Europe.

Rhetorical question:

Why does the article make it seem like Angela is the PM of the EU?

(And poor old Francois like he's the caricature leader of some minority opposition party no-one wants to - and will not - listen to?)

What timing. Received a nice colourful brochure this morning " Britain stronger in Europe". Really?

"A beleaguered police force has clearly buckled under the weight of an almost non-stop Islamist threat. And yet it suffers from institutional problems too.

Brussels is a relatively small European capital, and yet it still has six police zones. Its CCTV system is far less developed than London or Paris.

"It's clear there are inefficiencies in the level of security services. For years we haven't put enough energy into issues of security and terrorist threats," says Prof Sinardet."*

"Tuesday's attacks in Brussels clearly indicate that the IS network is still at large and no-one knows where and when it may strike next.

That's the nightmare that keeps the intelligence services awake at night.

However intense their efforts to keep us all safe, they can never guarantee 100% security against such a ruthless and sophisticated enemy.

As Alain Winants, the former head of Belgium's MI5, warns. "I fear that in the West we will have to live for the coming years with the threats of that kind of terrorism.""**

This city is the HQ of the EU & NATO. One would imagine it would be the safest city in Europe, don't you think?
