I had to wear a brace for 3 months, since I had screws, though I could if I was careful, take the brace off for sleeping and taking a shower.

My answer to that is having clear places on shelves every couple of metres or so. Then I can move the cup from one to the next and hop to the next transfer point. I was lucky to have suitable shelves in most places, just needed to put one tallish cardboard box outside the kitchen door.

I managed a nice shower by putting my foot in a rubbish bag and sealing the top with wide sticky tape.

I can't imagine being in a cast for 5-6 months, I hope yer leg heals quickly.

I had stainless steel staples in My skin at My ankle, about 6 on one side and 7 on the other side I think, so I have a few scars, I'm hoping I don't get Osteoarthritis in My ankle joints too soon, the OA is in My shoulders since I was at least 40 and in My hips more recently, both are from dislocations.

My hips from when I'd broken My leg, the shoulders, I have no idea how that happened, obviously from a fall, I'm not sure if falling from heat exhaustion would do that or not.

Sounds like you are coping with it admirably, Michael.
Hope the healing is doing as well as your response to it is.

Not sure. Her last long absence was caused by an injury. She was also contemplating a move back East.
I had a couple of contact number for her.
I will try and find them. No guarantee when.

Stitches came out today, everything looks fine.

Southern Germany was hit by 3cm or so of snow which caused traffic difficulties and some bus services were suspended. Anyone would think this was England! German cities have been saving on winter road clearing measures in recent years. That meant that taxis were also scarce. I had the hospital visit and then a massage elsewhere. While I was hopping to a café after the massage the same taxi which had taken me there stopped again and offered to take me home! It is at times like that when I think that I am in tune with the universe. What was a difficult day for many travellers was really OK for me.

Just posting to check in, think I still have enough RAC to do so. Hoping to be back crunching in a few weeks. Haven't had time to take my laptop in to get the fan replaced. Hope everyone is well!
