Hi I installed Boinc 7.3.12 on my mobile and crunching SETI@homte v7 At the beginning everything is fine, 0.1% around 3.5 mins, I left the phone with charger connected and 100% charged. But when I returned I found the app only keep timing without really crunching, the percentage is low , but the time is 17 hours already. I suspended the crunching, and resumed, the elapsed time going back to 3 hours, and the app continued to crunching. But a few hours later, the same issues happened again, and I have to suspend and resume again. I'm not crunching other project, so I've no idea it's the app issue or SETI's issue. Can anyone help? Best regards |

Try NativeBOINC - it uses different optimized SETI@home apps: http://nativeboinc.org/site/uncat/start  - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :)  |

Depends what you mean by "progress" You can't lose 'Credit' in any way (even of you throw the device in the ocean ;) ) If you mean 'progress' on the currently running task - I don't know (I don't have Android device to test) But your first post shows that the task is not making any progress so you have nothing to lose if you switch now. I confirmed that if you change the client, the progress will lose. Seems that these two apps use different clients. |

NativeBOINC will put its data directory on the external SD card. Android BOINC will put it in the native memory. So you can update to NativeBOINC, but then you need to move the data directory from the phone's memory to the SD card. Also, NativeBOINC uses its own science applications, which may restart work or not be compatible with the task (versions) you have. |
