I think now in the spring that the right thing to do would be to take Tigger's ashes to the back and inter them by Squirrel's side.

I believe now that is the right thing to do.
They are step sisters, and should not be any longer separated.

There could be some tears involved as I do so.

I agree 100%

Thank you, Chris.
I suspected so all along, it's just a very hard thing to let go.
Tigger was the first kitty I lost, and after a 9 month battle with CRF, it tore my little kitty world apart.
Every day for 9 months...fluids in the back.
I still know that I did all I could for her.

No. I dont have the time to explain what hot links are but this are very common.
I Think moderator Bernie Vine can explain this.
Often hot links are used to protect images to be spread over the Internet.
It works for you to see the images but not to us.

I am a bit undecided about something.

When my dear Squirrel left me, I laid her to rest back in my yard under what will one day be a grand old willow tree.
I visit here there once in a while.

What I am undecided about is the ashes of my dear Tigger kitty.
The are on my mantle here, in a box, and I wish to do right by her.

Do you think I should bury her remains alongside Squirrel so she can be with her sister?
It seems she might be lonely just on the mantle by herself, no matter how special I deem the position.

What do you think?

Oh Mark, please put a little bit of Tigger with Squirrel. It is ok to keep some on the mantle.
I am still upset with Danimal for not bringing more than few hairs home from Tubbs. He deserved to rest next to his Family.
OK I am done griping, I am sure we all meet at the Rainbow bridge.
Pluto will always be a planet to me.

I think later this spring I shall inter her ashes next to Squirrel in my back yard.
And invest in a modest marker stone of some kind for each of them.

Thank you for your thoughts, Uli.

A touching eulogy....

Stray dogs show up at funeral, pay their respects to woman who used to feed them

A funeral for a woman in Mexico took an unexpected turn when several stray dogs, that she used to feed, showed up to pay their respects, according to a report.

Margarita Suarez was an animal lover her entire life. She died in early March of an illness.

Throughout her life, Suarez had always fed stray dogs and cats that would show up to her home. She would also carry a bag of food around if she left the house, just in case she ran into any stray animals to feed, according to Misiones Online.

When the dogs began to appear at the funeral home, family members were stunned. Staff of the funeral home said that they had never seen the dogs before.

The dogs were then allowed to lie peacefully on the floor near Suarez's coffin.

The Daily Mail reports on the day of Suarez's funeral, the dogs even formed a procession behind the hearse.

Eventually, the dogs left after Suarez's body was being prepared for cremation.

I know dogs and cats have fellings just like us but in some cases they smarter than us and other cases less. all mine I treated with respect over the years. I was more a dog owner than cats which was my choice.

We Humans here outsmart our Granimals most days. I still love them all, evenso Tinker and Tessie give me grief regarding Homeless. Mark my words, I will prevail.
Tessie is now ok with Midnight (Mischif) and Cookie. Tessie is ok too, but she just can't admit it. Just jumps in the middle of the huddle, throws a hiss, then jumps on the counter for treat time.

Things have been getting better. No shoes have been found outside in two week and ditto for socks.

Once tax season is over, I will post pics.
