Ah, now we know why people enter politics & why it is still a "man's world"...

Paedophile gang included 20 ex-MP's

...no wonder women are experiencing a tough time in politics, they're not liked as those within the corridors of power prefer boys.

"He said the network extended into both the House of Lords and the Commons.

His interview comes after footage emerged of a former Conservative MP suggesting to the BBC in 1995 that party whips might not disclose certain behaviour of colleagues including that "involving small boys.".

Mr McKelvie - who had access to documents relating to paedophile networks linked to the Righton inquiry - said he told police in 2012 there were seven boxes of potential evidence being stored by West Mercia police."

Somebody panicking?

Home Office handed out £476,250 to paedophile linked groups

"A Whitehall inquiry found ‘clear evidence’ that £476,250 was granted over a decade to two organisations connected to the notorious Paedophile Information Exchange.

The findings were released yesterday as Home Secretary Theresa May announced a major inquiry into how public bodies dealt with historical allegations of child sex abuse."

Civil servants launched a trawl through 35,000 documents to investigate the claims, focusing on the VSU’s activities between 1973 and 1985.

Their findings were finally published yesterday, prompting concerns that it had been timed so it would be overshadowed by Mrs May’s announcement of an over-arching inquiry."

Very interesting with a highly pertinent question...

Labour plan to re-nationalise rail network

"Labour say that it is bizarre that state run railways in other countries can bid to run this and other services, but not a British equivalent."

Simple answer: Let the government's DOR run it!

An interesting move.

The privatisation of the railways was a dogs dinner and it caused prices to soar and didn't improve service at all.

What I find annoying is that the current government wants to privatise the ECML. The previous 2 private companies couldn't handle it so the DOR took over & year in, year out, the government has made a profit

Even the unions are happy with the DOR & the trains run smoothly.

New Public Holidays?

If they do eventually become public holidays, then I demand that St Patrick's Day is a public holiday here!

When Martin Luther King Jr. day was made a national holiday some private companies introduced a "personal holiday" that an employee could take for anyone they chose subject to the collective bargaining agreement.

Hurry up GE DAY...

How long before the dreaded "Vote of no confidence" or "Call Me Dave" resigns?

..."He said: ‘Confidence in the Prime Minister is collapsing even inside his own party, with MPs formerly loyal to David Cameron throwing in the towel rather than fighting on.

‘Hardworking people desperately need a government which will deal with the cost-of-living crisis. Instead we have a weak Prime Minister and a divided Tory Party turning in on itself.’"

What's more ominous is "Where is "Cleggie" while all this is going on?

Poor old Brooks, if he only remembered 2 names from Tory history...

Christine Keeler & Mandy Rice-Davies

...he would still be tucked up, snug as a bug in a rug at Westminster.

Well, UKIP have their first M.P. in parliament and just fell short by 600
votes in getting a second M.P. in. All eyes on the up and coming General
Election next year when the truth will be known, "Are we going to witness
a major change in British politics come then"? Who's going to be running
the most scared leading up to this election, LibDems, Labour or the
Conservatives? My bet it's neither of them, I reckon Brussels will be the
most scared. Don't be surprised if Brussels start to spout out about giving
the UK more concessions and opt-outs leading up to this next General Election.
They are bound to try and sway the public vote in their favour, lets see
what pops out of their bag come early next year.

UKIP can hold balance of power

What a coalition that will be!
