On the 780Ti sure 3 or maybe 4. What is the best? You need to test. Remember keep an eye on the GPU usage and not forget the Temperature the 780Ti runs hot when you push it close to 100%.

You're running BOINC as a service under Windows 7. GPUs cannot be detected while running as a service, and as such you won't get any work for them.

To double-check, look a couple of lines further back: do you have anything like the line I've picked out in red?

If you do, the only solution is to uninstall BOINC (from control panel/programs and features): then re-install BOINC, taking care to UNcheck the line about 'Protected Application Execution' (aka service mode).

You don't have to worry about Lunatics - it will still be there when you've reinstalled BOINC.

Depends on the OS version you use, 32 or 64 bits.

The one you post is for 64 bits.

<edit> i look your hosts and you use win 64 so this is the right one for you.

Be aware, the installer version could be the same but cuda50 is for the 780Ti GPU (Keppler), not the 580 (Fermi)... for the 580 cuda42 works better (see the instructions supplied on the installer)

@Miklos This is one possible path to follow...

Go for the Lunnatics Installer you could DL it from the arkayn site, http://www.arkayn.us/forum/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=cat3 and install the Cuda50 version this will optimize your GPU for MB, and not forget when you install enable the NV AP crunching too.

The 780Ti is fully capable to run 3WU at a time, and maybe 4 depends on your host capacity to feed 2 at the same time, so follow the instructions on how to test the best quantity of simultaneus WU on your particular host. After you be sure all is working and if you feel confortable with manual instalations you could go for some newer builds to crunch AP more optimized, you could find them on Mike´s site: http://mikesworldnet.de/download.html but be aware try only if you realy knows who to do, they need manual intervention to install for now.

May still be too early in the morning for most to answer, lol.. I run Lunatics..Since those are 780s I would pick Nvidia on the set up and then the Cuda 50..It's been a while since I set it up on mine so I'm trying to remember the steps. Once some of the others wander in, I'm sure you will get a more indepth explanation on installing it. Since you say you are having it built, I can assume you don't have it yet so that gives us some time to get some better responses than mine. Good luck with that machine and keep crunching...

I am getting, Monday(I think) two new GTX 780ti cards installed in a new computer and I am wondering which optimized version to install for Seti? Perhaps with easy instructions on how to do it?

The Titan Z will have the same chip as Titan Black (likely detuned), two per card. It will also have twice the memory as Black. So Z is two Blacks that cost 50% more. $2,000 for two Blacks vs. $3,000 for one Z. If I was not building an eight GPU cruncher two Blacks in SLI is a much better choice.

While that article about the Titan Z is interesting, it's really all about that second article. That new gpu interconnect would be really be something when it's put into use. How old now is PCIe?
