Great presentation. More time would have been nice. Couldn't watch the presentations on Friday, my laptop is too old and out-of-date. Just watched the presentations from Jill and Eric on my homesystems, learned a lot, but concur that both Jill and Eric could have used an hour each. Eric's presentation also shows how many other SETI projects he and the Berkeley bunch are involved in. That opening graphic should be shown to anybody who complains that staff don't do enough fast enough when the servers go wonky or ........ Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

@Eric. This is a big ask, I know, but how about making a slidecast of the talk you wanted to give, e.g. for a full 45 mins, and posting it on the SETI website (and YouTube)? Not only would it give everyone an update on what's happening in the various SETI searches, it would form a focus for discussion. Several of the people running SETI@Home are computing/signal processing experts and the discussions could lead to breakthrough ideas to improve the sensitivity or efficiency of searches. |

Hello, Will the conference be available in some form other than Adobe Connect, that will be easier to watch, such as on YouTube for example? It's a bit troublesome to access all these separate Adobe Connect parts from a mobile device. |

Thanks for posting the link. Given the short time I had, I think I did OK. There was just too much to cover. Just finished watching Jill's talk. Have to agree, I would not like to follow after a talk like that. Also watched Jeff Kuhn. Just wondering about the Collosus Project, is it possible boinc could assist with that? |

What Colossus needs most now is a way to get the $700M or so necessary to build it, assuming they can (as they hope) get the costs down to the level of GMT. I don't know enough about the sensors and the way data would be taken to know if there is an analysis role for BOINC. Regarding putting the talks on youtube, I was assured they would eventually be moved there but wasn't given a timescale. @SETIEric@qoto.org (Mastodon) |

Just watched your presentation, Eric. I agree with some others that I should like to be able to see you do a more 'relaxed' presentation with much more time available to you and allow you to go into a bit more detail. You certainly covered a lot of ground in 20 some minutes! But, very well done for the short time given to you. I truly did not realize that you folks had so many different search related projects going on outside of the Seti that I know and participate in. Maybe some can now realize why your time with our project here can be a bit limited at times. You certainly are incredibly dedicated to 'the search'. Make me even more proud to be participating and contributing here. It was also very nice to see and hear you for the very first time. Although you and I have communicated via email for many years, I never had the opportunity to speak with you personally. Maybe some day that shall happen, but for now, seeing your presentation was a very enjoyable way to put your personality together with what I know of you via other comms. Thank you for the most interesting overview of what you are all doing. Best wishes, Mark "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Thanks. What really would be nice is any such presentations/events where the Seti team participate, to be posted here as a permanent record. |

Hi,maybe the other world's people are seeing us now Welcome aboard! Glad to see another cruncher for SETI! I have a Chinese student from your country boarding with me right now. He's a little nervous at the moment because he'll be presenting and defending his doctoral dissertation in June. I do hope you'll be able to form that team! |
