Message 1766368 - Posted: 20 Feb 2016, 1:43:51 UTC - in response to Message 1754512.

Greetings All

Have had a few changes happen, for the better.

PC Ducati900ss has had its GPU replaced with a GTX 960 2GB.

PC Dcuati851 has a GTX670 as a 2nd GPU.

PC Tazzduke is now known as DucatiST2 and only has an HD7850.

It was time to clean out some old tech to upgrade to a GTX960.

So far so good.

Regards

One has a new computer. A Viglen 8.9" Windows-10 Tablet available for Stg£59.00 at your nearest large Tesco store. I'm not sure if it will survive running S@H overnight...

Here is My first quad GPU host, my daily driver.

Well, plan was good but it didn't work. PCI-E extension didn't work well, all time driver restarts.

So plan B quad GPU host, and it seems to be working.

Case: sidepanel from some random case.
PSU: Corsair RM650
MB: ASRock FM2A88X Extreme6+ Socket FM2+
CPU: AMD A8-6500
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Memory: Kingston HyperX FURY Black 8 GB
SSD: Kingston SSDNow V300 120 GB
GPU: 3 * Asus GTX750TI-OC-2GD5 (in PCI-E), 1 * Asus STRIX-GTX750TI-OC-2GD5 (in PCI-E extension card)
OS: Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS

Looks messy but it's working, currently 20th in Top Hosts. And that is because it's using petri33's excellent optimized v8 cuda application.

Good work there. Congratulations. Shame your case doesn't have space for all the cards!

And Linux looks to be taking a very healthy mix of the top positions.

My replacement PC, built at long last. It's based on an Asus RIVE motherboard and a PNY LC GTX 580 video card.

My kitties love to climb on top of the crunchers to get a quick warm-up before begging to go outside to gather in all the free electrons from the rising sun every morning by constantly jumping on me in bed to remind me ..."it's time to get up!!!!! I love my kitties!!

Finally got around to getting an image of my main cruncher. Its a quad-Nano system with an FX8370 processor cooled with a 240mm by 60mm radiator with 4 3000rpm fans all crammed into a 4U server case:
