Won't this rain ever end?!

Although we've had it all today, snow, hail & rain so far.

Yay for you.

Different predictors say the high tomorrow will be either 0 or 1. Then 17 or 18 on Wednesday. No 30s in the next week.

Well it was all nice and cold but now
it looks like it will be going back up
all the way to -5C. Shudder, it would
be nice to gat some steady weather for
just a little bit. We gotta go in to the
Fort (Fort Saskatchewan) to do some shopping in the morning,
at least the roads will be nice and clear.

Still only 2 rain free days this month.

We have to suffer another day of cold and wind. Then it warms up to the 20's that F. Not C. But I wish it was 20 C.

We hit 23C/73F here though with the windchill it was only 19C/66F and the very fine light drizzle continues on.

Cheers.

Er, one tends to in precipitation without ones gamp ....

I have found that they are next to useless as the rain always seems to be accompanied by strong winds, I have had 3 brollys destroyed by strong gusts recently.

After the blizzard of yesterday where the wind was so strong that it was impossible to see 1 foot in front of me, this morning it is -23C. I will have to check for damages.

All the way up to the melting point, wow!

How do you rate???

We got up to 3F today, woo hoo. The wind chill warning has been downgraded to a wind chill advisory.

For the next week, highs will be in the teens and 20s. A couple inches of snow Thursday, a whole lot of snow Saturday, and more snow next Tuesday. So far the models show that storm just brushing us, but it's a week out so it could change course and hit us.

When the polar vortex hits south of here
it means that warm air rushes in to replace
that cold air up here. It is easy to see
that it is part and parcel of climate change,
and the speedy warming of the arctic.....

I thought we might have a rain free day, but it was not to be.

We are now under Amber flood warnings (take action / be prepared) for the next few days - and judging by the forecast, the foreseeable future!

I live in a Bungalow, so short of finishing the Arc building project there isn't a lot more I can do than the usual precautions I have taken. If the road floods, the house floods. That's about the sum of it.

There aren't many in this area above sea level, let alone "way above".
