BBC reports highly variable Maths standards in the US when compared State by State against other countries. US 'in denial' over poor maths standards The maths skills of teenagers in parts of the deep south of the United States are worse than in countries such as Turkey and barely above countries such as Chile and Mexico. 1500 Year old Bible Hmmn, just right for this project as it's searching for E.T. "The book also claims that Jesus ascended to heaven alive, and that Judas Iscariot was crucified in his place." Tractor beam transporting him to his UFO? |

Very interesting link and I found many more interesting things about the author (none being very flattering) and this being the most polite about him, http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Michael_T._Snyder. Hello everyone :) How are you all? I hadn't heard of Mr Snyder before, but gosh there's a lot out there to read by him... and about him. This hole in my education is going to take a lot of time to fill in I think. :/ I'd best start soon... I can't help wondering what he might be about to make of this? 1500 Year old Bible |

Our public schools have been turned into indoctrination centers and prison camps. Very interesting link and I found many more interesting things about the author (none being very flattering) and this being the most polite about him, http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Michael_T._Snyder. Cheers. |

I never understood the three Rs principle. Reading, 'riting and 'rithmetic? Clearly coined by someone not very good at 'riting. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge.

Is this topic about traditional education, 3Rs, or is this "educating" adults because they don't think as the "educator" would like? Leftest are known for their "re-education camps". It should be about teaching everybody so they can ask questions. Like, "why do they flavour my food with citric acid, but put lemon juice in cleaners?" |

Some might think the link here should be on the science board, but I think it should be here, as it about educating the public. Making Sense of Chemical Stories Worth a look some interesting illustrations (tried to copy here but physically too large) People needn’t be scared by chemical stories. The reality boils down to six points: The full text, Making Sense of Chemical Stories 2 (pdf) |

It's fun being a teenager today... After the Vancouver riots here some people posted pictures of themselves looting and rioting on facebook. This being Canada all their friends turned them in and the rest turned themselves in and were very sorry about it all. You have to wonder at the stupidity of people who brag about their crimes on the internet. Reality Internet Personality |

There is a disclaimer that what they post is a work of fiction and much of it most likely is. I stole these when I visited the Queen.

It's fun being a teenager today... How hard can that be to trace? Idea 1, I'm assuming Tumblr logs IP addresses of whoever posts to it, they can be traced via the ISPs to the user, then the police go and knock on the door. (I'm assuming these people aren't clever enough to post via anonymous proxies or some form of IP mask like TOR.) Idea 2, if the photos were taken with a camera phone, they often log the GPS coordinates into the picture file (mine does by default, though i've disabled it), if so, they'll be even easier to trace. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge.
