I just installed the latest 7.2.33 client (Windows 7 Pro) and then added a second project Einstein@Home to crunch along with the preexisting SETI@Home project. However, only the newly added Einstein project is active. SETI@Home never gets any crunch time. I have the "switch between applications" option set to every 2 minutes, yet it never switches. The resource share is 80% for SETI and 20% for Einstein, yet SETI gets no crunch time-- unless I manually suspend the Einstein project.

Help!

The mechanism for multiple projects is the Resource Share and not the "switch between applications", and the Resource Share is based upon a debt system.

Since you just added Einstein, it will need to crunch a bit until BOINC balances out the Resource Shares between the two projects. Simply let it run for the next couple weeks and it will balance itself out in the long term.

Thank you for the explanation. I will do as you advise and let it self-adjust...

Also, setting the switch interval to very short can cause substantially less work to be performed. Each task requires some spin up time from the checkpoint file. In some cases for some projects it can be several minutes of spinup time.
