Black holes at the beginning of the Big Bang should have emitted very long wavelength gravitational waves, which are the target of the LISA mission, should it be financed and launched.

LISA mission? Never heard of it but I do like its name:)

Yes, I do too, it is my daughter's name. It had to consist of three spacecrafts shooting laser beams at each other from millions of kilometers and measuring the time of arrival of the laser pulses. Now there is only a prototype called eLISA (e stands for Europe) which should perform a proof of concept test in 2015. NASA is not supporting it, and ESA has classified it as second choice after an X-ray telescope mission.

eLISA=> First ever mission to survey the entire universe directly with gravitational waves, to tell us about the formation of structure and galaxies, stellar evolution, the early universe, and the structure and nature of spacetime itself. Most importantly, there will be enormous potential for discovering the parts of the universe that are invisible by other means, such as black holes, the Big Bang, and other, as yet unknown objects.
