Id love to build another machine, But thats off for 3 more years or winning the lotto.

I did that a lot too for other reasons but since computers change so much in such a short time it's hard to keep up with the times. And best off they are cheap now. Once $5000 now? $250. :)) Oh you still can dump a pile of money in one but what for? the next month something new comes out that you wish you waited for. :)))

Super bowl sunday which i'm not watching, I lost all interest in it this year. I'm hoping the Seattle sea chickens go home and have to eat crow though. and most people do too. :))

Cheers beer O'clock is about over here.

Still running P4's, its the graphic cards that do the work these days, not the CPU's. Beer o'clock in 90 minutes.

I appear to have hit 11 million early this week, without noticing it.

Zappy can have my beer.

I think the first million is a big goal after that you don't check the computer. :))

It is so good to see that I am not the only person on the planet that loves beer.

Enjoy your Groundhog Day over there you all.

Myself I'm just having a quick schooner after a bit of house rearranging (lots more still to do).

Cheers.

If your thinking of re-tiling the bathroom, just remember that half the wall coming away with them is normal.

As I recently discovered :) I needed a beer after that. Cheers :)

Nothing that drastic buddy, just rearranging furniture and appliances seeing as it's now just me here (no more kids to cater for now). ;-)

Cheers.

I loved building my own two computers. Just doing the research was mind boggling. At the time the I7 3770 cpu's were not to far behind the latest But my 550 Ti's were old by then. But they were cheap. So when in 3 years I build a new rig, I will probally buy the old 780 Ti's :)

If I find any bricks in the house I'll know why my brick stack out the back has gone down. ;-)

After 5hrs of moving stuff around it looks like I'll be rearranging and cleaning up for about another month at the rate things are going though (kids do leave a mess behind when they all move out). :-(

Cheers.

You can say that again buddy and this house is larger than most so they think that they can leave more of a mess behind. :-(

Well after almost 7hrs I've got about a tenth of the job done, but my back is killing me and I still have to put the wheelie bins out yet, though I think that I may go for 2-3 beers down at the pub before I do that.

Cheers.

But remember the commador day's? when you start your computer and have a few beers before getting on line? Hardly any hardware at first but with only 1 MHZ what could you expect? Oh yes lets not forget the 5 1/2 inch floppy. :))

But I made money writing 3 machine code programes on it and one was used by a well known company used it almost everyday for 15 years plus and my old boss called me one time and asked me if I had a back up. "sure", they wanted to update it a bit. As far as I know it's still ticking 25 years later.

After a long winter's nap time for beer O'clock. Cheers
