Message 1468911 - Posted: 25 Jan 2014, 22:59:30 UTC - in response to Message 1468904.

I just popped open my 2nd beer. What an exhausting day I had. We had two guys out, And all the machines were up and running. So the four of us each had to run 3 machines a apiece. One machine was cold so I had to baby sit until the oil warmed up and the parts stopped changing dimensions, The other machine kept faulting out because the parts ejector was getting jammed. At least the 3rd machine ran like a champ. But im beat both mentally and physicaly. I might have one more beer than hit the old bed.

Isn't a way to keep it heated while it's down so it's not so much problem? Beer sound good though.

Cheers

I suppose you could heat the oil up to running temp. But the turret and the tools and the tool holders need to heat up. Plus the barstock gets heated also by friction. Its cheaper just to scrap a few parts and keep an eye on it.

At one place I worked at the glue for laminating chipboard would be reduced for the weekend. Monday morning the guy running the machine would heat it up a bit quicker than the machine was capable of using an oxy-acetylene torch.

One of my coworkers there said if you ever hear [that guy] say "oh S£^!]". Just run :) Cheers :)

[quote]Off shortly to a Charity Burns Night Supper, the trouble is I don't like Haggis because I know what's in it. Hopefully the beer might drown the taste.

I think I can do very well without Haggis. :))

Well your part of the frozen chosen like my Brother and sister. I spent 6 months in Naperville back in the 80's froze my butt off. But on the bright side you have great Pizza and BBQ Ribs, really all of the food was good. :))
