I'm with Julie ....

Marcellus in Shakespeare's Hamlet had it about right ....

Me too Chris S.

So far I just have a cat and no fish.

Some of My relatives have cats, dogs, birds and a fish.

My sister in law's mother has 16 cats! (One of them is called Julie:)

16? Wow! I find 1 cat is enough for Me.

The fish will be for Me and the Cat, maybe She'll not bother the birds as much.

They weren't, until after the last time the cat visited there were three fish :)

Hehehe, they're lovely cats. A few of them remain outdoors, 5 of them I think. My sister in law herself has one cat, Tootsie:) Sometimes she acts like a dog:) Strange cat...

Message 1478852 - Posted: 18 Feb 2014, 21:40:34 UTC

Whenever someone asks me how many cats I have, I have to stop
and count. The number changes. :-(

Lucy, Gracie, Punkin, Sweetie, Kiwi, Trace, Peanut, Guster, Sally,
Scooter (whom I've not seen in about a week), JJ, Squint, Mr. Eko,
Himz, Callie, 42, Curly, Teeny - I think there are a couple more
that I'm forgetting. I also have one feral that stays on my front porch.
I call him CC (for crippled cat - he was injured somehow but he's
better now). There are several others that eat on my front porch but
they are very skittish.

I don't consider the feral cats "mine" until they start coming into the
house to eat and then staying.

I really can't afford to take care of them all, but I don't want them to
end up being euthanized. I have the females spayed and vaccinated.
I haven't been having the males vaccinated but that's because I wasn't
thinking. I'd been thinking about the neutering and vaccinating as a
package deal, because that's what I'd been doing, but then it occurred
to me that I can have them vaccinated without having them neutered.
Doh!! (I used to be much sharper when I was younger. Honest.) So now
I will be taking the males to be vaccinated. When I can afford it, they will be
neutered.

So, anyway, I have about 18 cats I call mine, and several feral cats that I
also feed.

I tried to start a "capture, neuter, vaccinate, and release" program, but
I don't have the money, and I couldn't get anyone to donate. I'm not at
all good about asking for donations. Also, the donations wouldn't be
tax deductible until I had enough money to file for non-profit status.
My heart's in the right place, but my wallet is empty.

Just to clear something up...

Most of my male cats have been neutered and vaccinated. Only the
last few have not.

Going to bed now. Good night.
