OK, it's Judgin' Time!

Honorable mention to Monday for:
F#*k! f#*k! These rocks are hot!

(…not that they were that hot when this shot was taken: it's only 9:30 AM, and the air temp is only 90°F… in Death Valley…[which regularly gets to 120°!])

Third Place goes to Celttooth for:
Let's see if that stupid Coyote can find me now…

BTW, in the real world, coyotes are faster than Roadrunners… (30 MPH vs 26...)

Second Place goes to Chris S for:
The Council needs to resurface this road!

And (Ta-DA!)
First place (and next pic) goes to John McLeod for:
One of the very few animals for whom rattle snake is on the menu.

(which is true, BTW...)

Yes, this is a Greater Roadrunner Geococcyx californianus, and it was photographed (by the poster…) near the Visitor's center of Death Valley National Park (as mentioned above) at 9:30 AM on October 22, 2013.
.

It always sounded to me that the Road Runner's sound was a bit softer on the first consonant than normal for "Beep", thus "Meep"

And most of the time the first p was dropped too. I think mee meep is exactly right.

I have seen one of these birds in real life. I was driving into my parents driveway and it ran across in front of me (far enough in front so there was no chance of a collision).

Some people think if they have an expensive car, they can park it anywhere.
