Crapita

If you continue to snipe away at my posts, at least stick to your standards of reporting correctly, it is Capita....

....or is this a sign that you are also getting frustrated with those that govern us?

If you continue to snipe away at my posts,

No I did not. Your starter for 10....1452838

Capita Group has not always been received well by the public and in the media. It has gained the alternative nickname, Crapita, particularly from the coverage in the satirical investigative magazine, Private Eye, of its many failures and setbacks in the public sector.

Their nickname is not down to me. So you use disparaging terms when it suits you, typical political B/S

....or is this a sign that you are also getting frustrated with those that govern us?

I will criticise when it is genuinely warranted.

The jury in the trial of two former personal assistants of Nigella Lawson and Charles Saatchi have been told to ignore comments made by the prime minister. Judge Robin Johnson said it was a "matter of regret" when public figures commented on someone in a trial. The judge said in an interview David Cameron had made comments which could be "favourable to Ms Lawson".

Cameron was ill advised to have made those remarks during an ongoing court case. In his position he should have known better, despite whatever pressures he may have been under. In my judgement he was wrong.

What proof do you have that he was advised? It could easily be his own thoughts about the woman! If they were, it just proves that it is a case of do as I say, not do as I do

I'm not here to score points. As you said the English language has many nuances. your problem is you do not have the grace to apologise when wrong.

Wonder how much of a backhander he's getting?

I am a lifelong fan of the British Royal Family, but why can't that silly woman keep her gob shut for once?

Chris, I think it's fairly open to debate here regarding the UK's attitude towards the
consumption of horse meat. One thing to look at is the treatment of horses
in the UK compared to that of those countries that do consume this meat. Do
they have comparable levels of horse mistreatment as compared to us, or greater
or lesser levels of mistreatment. This needs to be known for if their levels of
mistreatment are found to be much lower then Ann's argument may be valid.

Del-boy says if Cleggie can get away with, so can I.....

Del-boy up the creek without a paddle

"Politically a U-turn on this issue would be catastrophic for him. You have to remember it wasn't just a few party speeches, David Cameron went to every single constituency affected and stood up and said 'no ifs, no buts, there will be no Heathrow expansion'.

2015 looks like being a good year :)

Cameron was a bit silly, before he made his no Heathrow expansion pledge he
should have first found out that actually there was no viable alternative but to expand this airport.

Ah, you must have forgotten our previous postings, and the subsequent conclusions
drawn, on this issue regarding Heathrow expansion and the third and fourth runways.

Not at all Nick, I'm just glad that you have as good a memory as I have, and are prepared to stick to one point of view and not be a fair weather supporter of whatever the current press gripe is this week.

So you must be really p****d off at your glorious leader with his constant turnabouts. Makes one wonder why you and your colleagues in the party put up with him......

I dun'-no,......I like a bit of press gripe, stirs the loins of the mind so to
speak...especially if it involves a bit of Spany-bashing the politicians over
there.

We already are, hence the safeguard in the budget for overseas aid....

Who watches the watchers?

"Pete Weatherby, barrister for some of the families, said one of the police tapes had an "unexplained 10-minute gap in the middle".

At a previous pre-inquest hearing in October, Mr Weatherby said video filmed by police during the disaster "may have been edited"."

Thirteen former or serving police officers have declined to speak to the police watchdog's Hillsborough inquiry.

Another six have failed to respond to requests."

Hmmn, wonder why? Too afraid they may incriminate themselves? Ah, the police are not that corrupt now are they?

Expansion shortlist

"On Sunday, Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin said that the government would stick to its pledge not to build a new runway at Heathrow before 2015.

He told the BBC: "We will not be building a third runway in this Parliament. We will stick by our manifesto commitment.""

& after 2015?

'no ifs, no buts, there will be no Heathrow expansion'.

This is gonna bite your ass Del-boy!

2015 looks like being a Goodyear, over-inflated and ripe to blow!
