Arrrrg!! that's torn it now, Chris will be on his war horse. Best to retreat,
reform and set new battle plans...a counter-charge is being mustered, I fear.

"He believes the EU deal could be worth "tens of billions" of pounds a year - including £1.8bn for the UK alone."

So where is the rest going to? Someone's back pocket within the EU?

You realize that the EU has the largest economy in the world right? That with 28 countries and over 500 million people the EU forms one of the largest single markets in the world. Of course a trade deal is potentially worth billions.

Some Chinese papers don't like Cameron it would appear. My previous views on the validity of newspaper editorials are a matter of public record.

China is a flourishing economy, that's all set to become the next superpower, and visits like this that help keep us on the same side for mutual benefit of trade and education is to be commended.

Well exactly. But Sirius is anti the EU, anti the government, and anti everything, unless it's a cheap Daily Mail headline. You try talking to him sensibly, the rest of us gave up a long time ago.

Ah well, I'm still new here, I'm still figuring out who's what. Though I suppose his affinity for posting daily mail articles should have given me a clue :P

Right, flexes fingers, I'm going to enjoy this ....

There's nothing standing in the way of him becoming a good MP!

That's the nothing that he knows and the nothing that he's done.

It is very unusual to select somebody so young. The only precedent for it is possibly William Hague, who from a speech aged 16, speaking at the Conservative Party's 1977 national conference, rose to become today's Foreign Secretary. I have my doubts, but let him perform, and we will see.

"The UK is no longer any so-called 'big country'... it is an old European country suitable for travel and study abroad, with a few good football teams."

From the TV show "Man at the Top", "You're an educated man, are there two l's in Bo***cks?" 2 actually, so why the 3 asterisks? Can't spell?

As the PM said

"This is a visit that has delivered almost £6bn worth of deals. It is a visit that comes on the back of an eighteen month period where we have seen more Chinese investment into Britain in the last 18 months than in the previous 30 years".

But of course, the more educated amongst us are able to look beyond the cheap trashy headlines of the tabloid press and realise that So when your favourite media does it what is your reply?

Mr Cameron's promise now to 'respect' and 'understand' China is the price he has had to pay to thaw what was a diplomatic deep freeze”

Nick Robinson Political editor

If China is to become a major world power then the UK needs to be on the right side of it not the wrong side. No I DON'T trust China, I don't think that anyone in the world really does. So, we will use them to our advantage while it suits us.
they will see through that as they are well aware of Britain's history in China and have genuine reason not to trust

nothing new here folks just a wanna be Lib-dem attempting to control as usual!

It's about time the civil service is brought into the 21st century and the country get an incorruptible division covering all aspects of Public Service.

Wrong, the USA is still the worlds largest economy it's 25% greater than that of the EU's.

Worlds Economies

Ah yes, quite a difference in figures on this topic if you scan the net.
But looking at it then the average available puts the EU just leading the USA.
What a difference inviting Croatia into the EU can do to your GDP world ranking.

Poor old Cleggie gets a mention in despatches....

Cleggie's MiD

"the very best deputy a Conservative prime minister could ever wish for".

"He talks about the recovery, and there might be a recovery for the rich, but for everybody else there's a cost-of-living crisis.

"He won't stand up to the powerful, and he won't stand up for the weak, but when it comes to being a loyal deputy to a Tory prime minister, he'll go to any lengths, break any promises, and sell out any principles."

Says it all in a nutshell really about the biggest fop ever to serve as a DPM.

Well I trust that PC Rowland will show that saving what little face "Pleb" Mitchell has left to be a very expensive one.
