Ah, lucky you Victor! Mid 80's outside means low 70's inside or mid 80's inside currently, as the cooler can not hit a happy medium, unlike a/c... Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

Low 80s lsat few days, low 50s at night. Haven't needed the furnace, yet, just a light throw blanket. Starting Monday turns cooler, daytime in low 70s, nighttime still low 50s/high 40s. Clouds but no rain. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

Nice fall weather for at least 10 more days. Then the gas fire place might have to get lit. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

I've been a little worried about this, as I put a new roof on my garage in Axminster, last year - all the supports etc replaced, too. If anything, I 'over-engineered' the roof structure and I also did a rebuild of the 'covered space' between the garage and the house, afterwards. So, I think it is fair to say that I'm going to find out, if my and my sister's DIY skills 'cut the mustard'! Hopefully my 'over-engineering' will be up to the job - Brunel would've been proud of that work. Not one nail was used....all screws (a bit like being in prison, maybe!). I think it was back in '87 and '89 or so, I had the dubious pleasure of watching the twin-wall plastic roofing sheets of said 'covered space' being torn off by the Hellish strong winds. During the storms we had last year, a tile from the neighbouring property here (in Southend) 'smashed' the windscreen of my little Tomcat. I sent a bill to the property owner and got paid, as several tiles were loose before that and he replaced the tiles the day after the storm. Yours, Worried of Southend, with a house in Devon. This may be a tad off-topic, but I can't help wondering how much it costs to adjust every clock, appliance etc etc. Lets be honest, the arguments for messing around with the clocks, are pretty weak to say the least. Don't take life too seriously, as you'll never come out of it alive! |

microwave, the video, the boiler controls, mobile phones, and of course battery and clockwork clocks No video here all TV recorded on PC, my smartphone updates automatically, and 2 of my battery clocks are radio controlled, as is my wristwatch. So just microwave, alarm clock, cooker and of course the car. |
