13.54 Billion Years Later we STILL can't get the system administrator to give us honest answers about what is REALLY going on... or what the fate of our efforts mean...

OK. Honest answers about what is going on...

Well, they've stated they're having hardware issues. Do you have reason to believe this is not the case? I really can't imagine why they would say this if it isn't true. Do you have perhaps some sort of conspiracy theory in mind?

What the fate of our efforts mean...

This comment has me stumped, but I'll take a stab at it. The fate of our efforts, (assuming our effort is a WU) is to end up in the S@H science database. What it means? Well, it means we know a lot more about what is going on (as far as RF emissions are concerned) in our solar system.

If I misinterpreted your chain of thought, feel free to ammend...
