Trust China? After this report, no way. Flying their drones into another country's airspace which gets shot down constitutes an act of war? Japan will stand up to China |

Can see the Federal Reserve of America licking their lips at a possible war with China. Give the Yanks every reason to rip up their debts to China hence save Trillions of dollars in pay-backs. Best we get the money off the Chinese for these atomic power stations then we can do the same if a war starts up.... ..."Rou ripp us off rou restern rascals" The Kite Fliers -------------------- Kite fliers: An imaginary club of solo members, those who don't yet belong to a formal team so "fly their own kites" - as the saying goes. |

To be honest. I trust China as much as I do the US, UK, Eurozone, GM, GE, Rothchilds, Goldman Sachs, etc. etc. In fact any country/organisation that uses its economic power to the detriment of others. Come to think of it, I probably trust China more than any other of the above mentioned.... T.A. |

Another contentious issue between the two countries is the dispute over a group of islands. That's just greedy, isn't China big enough already, without trying to absorb more countries. We had a good excuse when we did, Britain is tiny, we needed the extra space. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

No. Don't take life too seriously, as you'll never come out of it alive! |

I've explained to the wife that we are no longer buying dog treats made in China. There is another mass death of pets due to tainted dog treats. The last I heard was 600+ dead and many more sick. I'd rather pay double for a dog treat made in the US and not risk my animals life. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

China said on Saturday that if Japan shot down Chinese drones, this would be considered "an act of war" by Beijing. If nukes were involved, It would be short. I dont know how many nukes China has But the US would win. Kinda win any way, I would guess mnay US cities would be gone, but so China would not have any major cities left. Now In a strictly conventional war. It had better be short for the US to win. China has way to much heavy industrial capacity for us to ever hope to fight a prolonged war of attrition. The days of the US building endless ships and planes and tanks has been long gone. FDR started the build up of Americas miltary in 1938 and it took untill mid 1943 when the war output really started to kick in to high gear. And that was when we still had ship yards and steel plants galore. Now days a nuke at the Bath Iron works in Maine and one at the ship yard in Missisippi and you have effectively shut down US navy ship building. I would hope that we never have to face off with China. I dont think any one in the world would benefit no matter who won.
Old James |

Warming up for an end run? I can say growing up during the cold war this is nothing new. I did notice that they said first generation submarines. That tells me they allready have a second gen sub in service. Lets hope Our navy and our allies can track them.
Old James |

So why would China want to nuke the US ? It would be vandalising their own property.... T.A. |

CAN you trust Chine with actions such as these? ... Tibetans who refuse to fly the Chinese flag above their homes risk being beaten or shot... ...China’s leaders are mounting an intense campaign to draw a veil over their rights abuses and persuade governments to vote them onto the UN Human Rights Council. So if enough of us shine a light on what’s going on in Tibet -- [violently] squashing an ancient religion, banning journalists, dawn arrests -- we can get China to back away from its hard-line policy to be sure of getting the 97 votes it needs. Let’s show the Tibetan people that the world hasn’t forgotten them... One or two clicks may well make all the difference.
