Hi, Ive got BOINC setup and working OK on my Windows laptop, however I have just installed v.6.97 of BOINC manager on my Linux laptop and when I run it I get a message that there is no work available to process. Is this because I can only have one PC connected to my account at any given time? Thanks for your help. Neil |

Check that both computers are on the same venue, or if you need to run them on different venues (default ---, home, work, school), that on both you have set the project preferences to: 1. Make sure that the Activity (menu) is set to run based on preferences and network is available. 2. Accept work for the CPU: Use CPU is checked. 3. Run all of the select applications: Check all of them, or in the least Seti v7 4. Run alternatives: Check If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications? Save the changes to the web site with the Update preferences button at the bottom of the page. Next open BOINC Manager, select Seti@Home and Update it. That way BOINC knows what your preferences are. And if all that fails, post the first 40 lines from the BOINC Event Log after a startup. Perhaps that it says something. |
