The stats sites say I've stumbled into the top 1000 in Seti credits. The tortoise is still making some progress.

Just see now, i´m close to the 200MM mark, today i´m the #7 SETI top cruncher and i have the #6 top host (the first one with the old I7 with 8 processors). That´s nice, another good reason to drink some penguin beers in this hot sunday. :)

Just breaking the 300K RAC barrier and rise to #5 of top seti crunchers, that´s nice too. The new 780FTW´s are fast, quiet and runs cold. Good for the hosts in our tropical hot country.

Thanks Thomas & Mike.

Well done, Juan. I'm just about to slip into 62nd place, may even make it before midnight here (UTC). Putting an aftermarket cooler on my new i7-4770K seems to have helped a bit with my home computer's RAC. It was topping out at 100 C and throttling back to 3.6 GHz but now it's running at 75-80 C at the full 3.9 GHz. Perhaps that extra 10% is helping the CPU feed of the two AP jobs I run on the GTX 560. Unfortunately I've lost more than half the CPU capacity on our group server at work, as researchers from another group "borrowed" it over the holidays to run some extensive Matlab code, so my overall RAC has fallen.

Thanks ivan.

Just a tip. I don´t run linux, but i see you results and your CPU usage is to high, take a look at my CPU times on the GPU WU (i don´t do CPU crunch). There are a new build in beta R2058 at least for Windows that allow you to use a lot less CPU, so you could easely compensate the loose of the CPU power. At least in windows was an easy task to port the app from beta to SETI.

I use the 560 until few months ago and was an excellent GPU, i only stop to use when i receive the 670´s.

Cheers, Juan. I slipped past Uncle Eric a few minutes ago, with just a few minutes to go before midnight.
I'm not particularly happy with the Linux on this machine -- I installed it after I lost the system disk on this machine I've had for 6 or 7 years. I'd upgraded it from a Sempron to an Athlon64X2 4200+ which handled 32-bit XP OK but was a bit lost on 64-bit Mint. So I upgraded to a new motherboard and the i7 CPU but it still feels a bit underpowered. I might try turning off hyperthreading to see how that compares -- if the CPU can't keep the GPU well-fed then I'll have to see about loading Windows again (I might be able to tie into a work licence; the rescue disk from the original XP install says it's not valid for my current configuration).
I'm currrently just running the stock apps on the machine, tho' I did re-compile the latest BOINC for it. I could compile up the CUDA MB app, but I've never worked out how to integrate the stock AP into the anonymous-platform config, and currently whenever there is AP work it's paying much more than MB does!

Thanks to the servers coming back online, I have just shot past 22 million seti credits on the first day of the year. I wonder what my total will be this time next year? I am hoping for 35 million if my graphics cards keep going and seti keeps them supplied with work.

Yesterday six years ago, I downloaded Boinc as a favor for my mother.
I returned one work unit here and at Einstein on 1/1/2008, then promptly uninstalled the program.
I came back to join the RL Team. Now I am looking forward to my first million by my next anniversary.
Pluto will always be a planet to me.
