It is good to see a separate thread, but I am still miffed with issues that are cropping up on the new rig.
Now I got to add at least one new tranny mount and a u joint to the do list.
It also seems the Dealership charged me for a fluid replacement, that wasn't done.
If I don't get satisfaction/refund I will report them. The Bureau of Automotive is my best friend.
I will keep you posted.

I think there are two issues here. One is should Uli's thread be for her new truck only. Uli says she doesn't mind. Some want to talk about PTSD which is quite a different subject, and could get quite serious. It would seem sensible to have the two subjects separate.

The second issue is should the new thread remain here in the cafe, or be in Politics. The politics forum was set up many years ago to put all contentious, and potentially contentious, issues in one place away from the cafe, which is mainly intended for light hearted banter. It makes it that much easier to moderate. The politics thread only really has problems when the usual handful of people chime in intending to deliberately cause trouble for the sake of it. Many a worthwhile discussion has been ended because it got out of hand.

I would suggest that we have a separate PTSD thread here in the Cafe, and see how it goes. But we will have to accept that if it gets too heavy or bad tempered, it is highly likely that the Mods will take the decision to move it to the Politics forum anyway. I can't imagine that any Cafe regular would behave inappropriately, I just hope that others don't as well.

I would think that it would be ok in the cafe. I dont forsee any conflicts. We all have a few moments in our life when the things we see and hear and smell and feel just overwhelm us. And sometimes they still do to this day.

Survivor's guilt - that's the most frequent thing I hear from my Iraq/Afghanistan vet friends - and they say it is the hardest to deal with and let go of. But you must, or life becomes hell.
