I am happy to say I am a dedicated Combat Flight Sim' fan.
I have almost all of my grand children hooked on it.

Interesting fun fact. Never knew that...

I also kind of agree with you on twilight princess. But at the same time, I loved the game for it's interesting story plot, and for one of it's best well done characters, Midna.

Really stinks how the game ended. They should at least justify it by making a sequel or something.

Anyone still play Dungeons & Dragons or text based adventures, like you used to find on Bulletin Boards?

Naw, but I'd like to try one out. I went to this hobby store once, and saw a bunch of text based adventure game booklets. The illustrations were amazing, and I've always wanted to play one since.

I've played an almost similar card game called "killer bunnies" in which you have to kill your opponents livestock in various gruesome ways, but it wasn't exactly a 'text adventure'.

My broadband latency is suitable for adventure type games, but not action shoot-em-ups

Well, I'm an adventure game enthusiast myself, but 'killer bunnies' isn't exactly a shoot-up. It's more of a defeat-your-opponent-in-ridiculously-hilarious-ways type of game.

Here's the website to give you an idea of what it's like:

Yep, I play WoT and I'm not looking forward to see what the v8.8 patch has done to my beloved VK36.01H! It does seem though, that since the game is from a Russian 'crew', the German WW2 era tanks are getting 'nerfed'....hugely, whilst the Russian tanks are still rather over-powered. Its not just me thinking it; others are saying so on the forums there. Apart from that, it is/was a good game. I just wish the area of battle was rather larger, as it might encourage a more realistic type of gameplay. Lets face it, how often would you get a KV-1 and a Tiger side by side, blowing the Hell out of each-other? I also play SWTOR and used to play WoW....I would've played EVE (tried), but using a mouse to control a space-ship, has never really worked for me.

When I was in high school, a friend had Ultima IV for Apple II. The whole thing ran off of 2 low density 5.25" double sided floppies (the ones that were really floppy). I think we finally finished it. Then I bought an Ultima I-VI collection, but I was stubbornly determined to finish each one before moving on to the next, and I never found a finish to one of the early ones.

I also had Red Storm Rising for PC. It ran off one 1.44MB floppy. It had (IIRC) 4 possible outcomes for your character, ranging from POW to admiral with a Medal of Honor.

For text games, I played Leather Goddesses of Phobos (ever try it as the opposite sex or in tame mode?) and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Some of my favorite bits of HHGTTG were found only in that game, not in any of the books, radio shows, etc.

I came to recognize that I was spending too much time on these, so I avoided newer ones as they came along. On Facebook, I played Dumbville until they quit adding new levels and Railroad Empire until I lost interest. I was doing farily well in it too.

I just realized that World of Tanks could be abbreviated as WoT, which sounds like “what”. I thought about what a conversation would be like if you told someone you played WoT, and I was immediately reminded of the Abbot and Costello routine. So with full apologies to them:

Abbot: So play any games lately?

Costello: WoT.

Abbot: I asked if you played any games lately?

Costello: WoT.

Abbot: Games? Have you played any lately?

Costello: WoT.

Abbot: You don’t play games?

Costello: Yes, I play games.

Abbot: So you play any lately?

Costello: Yes, WoT.

Abbot: That’s what I’m asking. What game have you played lately?

Costello: WoT.

Abbot [getting frustrated]: Give me the name of any games you’ve been playing lately!

Costello: WoT.

Abbot [after letting his frustration subside]: So, when you go home and sit at your computer, what game do you play?

Costello: That’s correct.

Abbot: You play what?

Costello: Yes.

Abbot: What game do you play?

Costello: That’s correct.

Abbot [getting upset]: So you play what?

Costello: Yes.

[pause]

Abbot: Play any other games lately?

Costello: WoW.

Abbot: No need to get excited. I just asked what other games you’ve played?

Costello: WoW.

Abbot: What are you getting all excited for? I just want to know what other games you play?

Costello: WoW.

Abbot [getting very frustrated]: Listen, what games do you play?

Costello: WoT and WoW.

Abbot: Did I insult you? I’m just trying to figure out what you do for fun!

Costello: I play WoT and WoW.

Abbot: Listen buddy, if you don’t want to share the names of the games you play, that’s fine with me! I’m just looking for a few suggestions on today’s entertainment!

Costello: You should play WoT.

Abbot [confused]: I should play what?

Costello: Yes.

Abbot: I don’t even know what I should be playing!

Costello: Then play WoW.

Abbot: Why should I be excited about playing what?

Costello: You should be.

Abbot: Should be what?

Costello: Excited about playing WoT.

Abbot: I should be excited about playing what?

Costello: Yes.

Abbot: I still haven’t a clue what I should be playing!

Costello: Well if you don’t have Clue, how could you play it?

Abbot: Nevermind! I’m going outside to play baseball tomorrow!

Costello: Is he still pitching?

Great parody of Abbot and Costello.

Here is Whole routine.....the original.

Speaking of games, anyone here a Legend of Zelda fan? I am.

If you are an adventure game enthusiast like me, I'd suggest playing the series. Some are a bit Old School, but dang fun.

I still like the JGC (Jumpgate Classic) game and I used to be fond of Hellbender's as well...I hardly play games anymore lately, just can't find the time for it...

<-- StarCraft and BroodWar player... NOT on-line though... I'm afraid I'll get addicted.

I don't have a powerful enough computer, yet, to play StarCraft II. Once I do, I will buy that game.

For all you Diablo gamers out there, it looks like Blizzard has announced they are getting rid of the in-game Auction House, marking the end of one of the most despised features by hardcore players.
