A guy I work with absolutely loves that game. I can't seem to pull myself away from World of Warcraft. While it has gotten lame, it still seems to be better than all the other MMORPGs that I've tried. |

It has a pretty steep learning curve but can be very fun once you learn how a tank works and how the maps are played In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

I don't do MMORPGs. I'm addicted to too much internet stuff already. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

You should try Civ5, it is highly addicting! I haven't gotten into it....the graphics are just too different. I actually liked the old graphics style. |

I keep hearing about it. I'll have to take a look one day. I took that attitude with Minecraft, now it's too late for me. Parents, talk to your kids about Minecraft, before someone else does! Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

You should try Civ5, it is highly addicting! I never played Civ4 to be honest, but I'm quite impressed that Civ5 can utilize your graphics card to calculate moves for the opponent. And I've been meaning to try out the touch-screen friendly version of Civ5 on a Windows 8 tab as soon as I can get my hands on one. |

Age of Empires II taught me that if one stabs a castle with a sword often enough, it will catch fire. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

Well that makes sense... because... you know... hitting metal against stone makes sparks and stone is highly flammable! Personally, I've often wondered why, when attacking mobs in MMORPGs like WoW - why is it that they always attack the tank and not the person doing the highest damage? I mean, if someone were attacking me, I'd take out the person doing the most damage first. My friends and I have concluded that the special ability of the tank must be that he is saying things about the dude's mom. Or giving wet willies. One or the other. |

I just realized that World of Tanks could be abbreviated as WoT, which sounds like “whatâ€. I thought about what a conversation would be like if you told someone you played WoT, and I was immediately reminded of the Abbot and Costello routine. So with full apologies to them: Abbot: So play any games lately? Costello: WoT. Abbot: I asked if you played any games lately? Costello: WoT. Abbot: Games? Have you played any lately? Costello: WoT. Abbot: You don’t play games? Costello: Yes, I play games. Abbot: So you play any lately? Costello: Yes, WoT. Abbot: That’s what I’m asking. What game have you played lately? Costello: WoT. Abbot [getting frustrated]: Give me the name of any games you’ve been playing lately! Costello: WoT. Abbot [after letting his frustration subside]: So, when you go home and sit at your computer, what game do you play? Costello: That’s correct. Abbot: You play what? Costello: Yes. Abbot: What game do you play? Costello: That’s correct. Abbot [getting upset]: So you play what? Costello: Yes. [pause] Abbot: Play any other games lately? Costello: WoW. Abbot: No need to get excited. I just asked what other games you’ve played? Costello: WoW. Abbot: What are you getting all excited for? I just want to know what other games you play? Costello: WoW. Abbot [getting very frustrated]: Listen, what games do you play? Costello: WoT and WoW. Abbot: Did I insult you? I’m just trying to figure out what you do for fun! Costello: I play WoT and WoW. Abbot: Listen buddy, if you don’t want to share the names of the games you play, that’s fine with me! I’m just looking for a few suggestions on today’s entertainment! Costello: You should play WoT. Abbot [confused]: I should play what? Costello: Yes. Abbot: I don’t even know what I should be playing! Costello: Then play WoW. Abbot: Why should I be excited about playing what? Costello: You should be. Abbot: Should be what? Costello: Excited about playing WoT. Abbot: I should be excited about playing what? Costello: Yes. Abbot: I still haven’t a clue what I should be playing! Costello: Well if you don’t have Clue, how could you play it? Abbot: Nevermind! I’m going outside to play baseball tomorrow! Costello: Is he still pitching? |

Speaking of games, anyone here a Legend of Zelda fan? I am. If you are an adventure game enthusiast like me, I'd suggest playing the series. Some are a bit Old School, but dang fun. |

Legend of Zelda was my favorite game growing up. I still think Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time were the best two Zelda games ever! Windwaker was kinda cool too. I vote Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess were probably the worst. Never played any of the Gameboy versions of Zelda either. Fun fact: did you know that Robin Williams, the famous actor/comedian, named his first daughter Zelda after the video game because he is an avid fan too? |
