Some here are saying the police only shot him because he was black. I don't know if that is a fair observation or not. One thing I do note is that Pine Bluff is only 44 miles from Little Rock. How many recall what happened in 1957 when black children tried to attend a segregated school? It seems this area of the USA has a bit of a history in dealing with black people.

those photos appear to be 40 to 50 years old.

/edit I've had several patients at my work that were 95+ years old. only one had reasonable sense about him. He was the only one not wheelchair bound. His walking pace was about 6 inches a step, much like watching a toy rocking back and forth as it moved forward.

I'll say it again. a 107 year old certainly wouldn't warrant a long standoff, just a nice quiet 30 minute period for him to take a knap

have you known any 107 year old people that could creep out of anywhere. We aren't talking Rambo. We're talking about a centurian and not from battlestar Galactica. They actually tossed tear gas into his room which made him fire more. Seems they took the exact opposite tack one would need for someone of that age.
