Acrylic Latex Caulk is 1/3 the cost of 100% Silicone Caulk. I've never seen or heard of anyone using Expensive 100% Silicone to fill in gaps on the interior. Plus 100% Silicone STINKS while Vaping Off.

I was wondering about the price too. Now that reminds me, I do need to recaulk my bathtub.

I did My BathTub 18 years ago with Acrylic Latex Caulk and it is Still Sealing and Looking Good.

Acrylic Latex can be bought with a Certain Percentage of Silicone in it, but The Cost is half-price or 2/3 Price of 100% Silicone.

Unless you need Food-Grade or are using 100% Silicone to Seal Engine Heads for Motorcycles, like I Did Long Ago, Why use The Expensive Stuff?

I'd Rather use The Saved Monies for Donating To Organisations such as Save The Moths; Tigers; Crocs or Some Such.

Unless you have a large gap,Just apply a small bead and smooth out with your finger. They sell gadgets that smooth caulk but I find a finger works better and its free.

An old credit/debit card or similar is not bad.

I know your reference, but here in the states, things have been watered down a bit.
What passed for a boatcraft artisan's craft is now just bobbing 'bout a tub.......

is what they do off the coast of
Newfoundland and north west Europe.
They also do that sort of thing in Alaska,
Japan, Russia.....
