Changed to 5870 from an old Nvidia. BOINC recognizes but doesn't use the GPU

So I put my old 5870 in another PC wich used a G210 before. BOINC recognizes the GPU but just doesnt use it. I tried like everything I could think of. Deinstalled everything from Nvidia used different drivers (currently 11.3). Re-installed BOINC like 7 times (ProgrammData too). GPU is allowed to be used all the time. Tried 7.2.5. What do you guys need to help me? I would really appreciate some ideas. ID: 1412884 ·

You also made sure that you accept work for everything? Biggest part is you do not have the OpenCL drivers installed on this system as BOINC is not detecting them. I think the current driver is old enough that OpenCL was not included in it. http://www.hal6000.com/seti/boinc_ati_gpu_cheat_sheet.htm I would recommend at least 11.8 or so for that card. And then Seti won't send you any work, as it'll need the OpenCL part. CAL version 1.4.1332 means you're using Catalyst 11.3, a little bit old. The present drivers for your card and Windows 7 32-bit that are available from AMD are the Catalyst 13.4. You'd better try to update first. Do uninstall the old drivers first. ID: 1412933 ·

By default, BOINC only uses the GPU when the system is idle. You have 27 tasks that can run on the GPU now (opencl_ati5_cat132). All you have to do is either set that BOINC should use the GPU always, or stay away from the keyboard for whatever amount of time is set for the idle detection. ID: 1412944 ·
