It's different when you don't have filters installed, water looks really turbid after a week...

Yes, true.
It also depends how many fish you have.

Since I siphon some water every week might as well give the glass a scrub to prevent algae growth. Cheers :)

Just reduce the hours you keep the light on.
Helps a lot too.

My fish were short lived, my daughter would feed them a few slices of bread. So they went down the toilet. That's what you get with Munchkins running around. ))

I do it out of habit, it can go just over a month before it's noticeable. Cheers :)

My Brother and I kept fish as kids,
we had snails in the fish tank so that
they cleaned the glass for us.

I was told, they were mess contributors. I had a succor fish, not sure what the proper term is, but once s/he passed, we gave up on fishies.
Just two dogs and three cats, with the occational Mousie.
I think, I am still hosting one in my Wood Shed.

Why I don't drink water? Other animals have sex in it.

I'll just have a few beers instead. :-D

Cheers.

Good point Wiggo.
I was raised on Schweppes and Sprudel. Grew up next to a creek that changed it's color daily.

Germany finally woke up and made those kind of dumps illegal. Now the Trouts are back.

Well, when it was time for beer'o'clock today, I decided I wanted a drink... (I don't drink often.) So, I poured a few ounces of Vodka.

I drank it slow, had some of it with dinner. The rest, after dinner... I have to be careful because of gout... Too much beer will definitely give me gout; however, one once in awhile won't hurt me.

Goodnight everyone! :-)
