Beer o'clock in 9 hours...

Had me some homebrewed Limoncello of my father-in-law this weekend, mmmmmm....

Never heard of that one before Julie, for me just some store bought brew here but I can handle it. :)

Cheers

It's actually quite easy to make! All you need is the zest of 50 lemons, alcohol and sugar and a lot of time...:)

Sounds delicious, how many beer o'clocks does it take to make? :)

Hmmmm...*takes calculator*...5 times 60 minus 10 times 30, divided by 2 equals....errrr.....euhm.....oh what the heck! Lot's of them! Cheers:)

If I'm reading it right I come up with 150.

5 times 60 minus 10 times 30, divided by 2

5 x 60 - 10 x 30 div 2

Using the rule of BODMAS

(5x60)-10(30 div 2) = 150

Correct!

No lights at UCB last night, they didn't say for sure on last nights news but a tranformer went up in smoke putting most if not all out of power. Most kids were suppose to be taking finals today. Lots of beer at the old pub last night. :))

I went on an adventure in search of beer o'clock. It was a long trek, many countries were traversed and before I knew it, it was time for sleep. Along my journey I came across a fellow who was looking rather ill. Wasn't much for conversation and indeed was quite aggressive, at one point even biting me!

Since then my need for a drop of the drink has lessened, and have instead found myself with increasing yearn for something a bit more "meaty" :)

If I'm reading it right I come up with 150.

5 times 60 minus 10 times 30, divided by 2

5 x 60 - 10 x 30 div 2

Using the rule of BODMAS

(5x60)-10(30 div 2) = 150

Correct!

Since the problem is presented in words, one could take the comma as meaning everything before it should be calculated first, then the result used in the following operation. Thus

((5 x 60) - (10 x 30)) / 2
(300-300)/2
0/2
[computer blows up]

However, if you again consider that it was presented in words and take the operations in the order presented rather than proper mathematical order, the result is much different. Vis

5 x 60 = 300
300 - 10 = 290
290 x 30 = 8700
8700 / 2 = 4350

Who can say what a drunken zombie fish really meant?

[emergency edit!]
My mistake, it wasn't the zombie fish, it was Julie. I'm not too sure about the drunken part, though.
