Today I noticed that there appears to be a 1 day discrepancy between results in BOINCstats/BAM and Free-DC. Free-DC lists results as being 1 day earlier than BAM, for example, results appearing as 31 July in BOINCstats/BAM appear under 30 July in Free-DC. I noticed this effect after I went to look at results under my user name. It looks as though it has been evident since about the 2nd July. I have not advised Free-DC as it requires a person to register with them to post comment and I do not wish to register with them. If anyone who sees this has registered with them, could you be so kind as to pass on my comment to them. thanks |

Each site is owned and operated by their own group. They all pick up their own data when they do. So there will be discrepancies between them. Some only pick up once a day, because picking up date from hundreds of sites and to update their own databases can take hours. If they have older systems it will even take longer. So, there is no reason for each of them to be exactly the same all the time. My movie https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/502242 |

Most projects only release the stats file once a day. If one credit site comes by an hour later than the other for the days update, you easily can have a 23 hour difference between them. Expected. |

BoincStats has been 24 hours behind the other stats sites for years. <Edit> Meaning that the data they post under today's date is actually the results from the day before.</edit> It was brought to their attention once, and for about 6 months they were up to date, but they slipped back ages ago. It must be something to do with the way they process the updates. T.A. |
