AFAIK, there are available: HD7990 (dual GPU card) HD7970 GHz HD7970 HD7950 Boost HD7950 Which card would have the best RAC/wattage? Someone has such above mentioned card, please drop a message, so I can see the performance with 'AstroPulse v6' & 'SETI@home v7' WUs (apps of Lunatics Installer v0.41). 2x HD7970 GHz in a system with AMD FX8350 (8-core) CPU, 3 AP/SAHv7 WUs/GPU ?, the system would run stable? Or it would be better to use an Intel (4-core/HT) 8-thread CPU for 'better' GPU performance/support? Thanks. * Best regards! :-) * Philip J. Sutaru, you can check out this host for performance of a HD 7950, it's a Sapphire Vapor-X running at 950/1250 clocks (stock for this card), 2 tasks at a time, on an i7 3770K running 5 CPU tasks at once (three free threads). CPU is running at 4429MHz, though it reports 3500 in the stdout in the tasks. My whole system, including the 27" LED monitor, is using 280W on average according to my UPS. HTH, -Dave |
