. We all know what will happen, there will probably be a civil war out there, and yet again aid agencies will be draining our pockets. Every country in Africa that has gone independent or left the Commonwealth has gone to the dogs. Fact. If you would deny us giving innocent children clean water to drink, then there is nothing more to say is there. You really do need to get out more..... ... and then hit the RESET button for your brain. |

In its statement, The Gambian government said it had "withdrawn its membership of the British Commonwealth". It said it had "decided that The Gambia will never be a member of any neo-colonial institution and will never be a party to any institution that represents an extension of colonialism". But Bakary Dabo, former vice president of The Gambia and chairman of the country's campaign for democratic change, said people there are generally "very happy" to be part of the Commonwealth. He said the government had recently begun "picking up war against poorly specified enemies called 'western powers". Their most probably looking for new sponsors of aid now that the UK Government intends to cut their aid to Gambia in a few years time. At last, at long last, someone is challenging the Mail's ethics. Now, I don't care whether it is a Tory, Labourite, Lib Dem, or even a UKIP person, the plain fact is, it needed to be done. I don't agree with Ed Milliband's politics, far from it, but I will support him on this issue, as I will also support Nick Cleggs view The other side of that coin.... Mail defended |

The other side of that coin.... So I run down our ministers and you post stroppy comments or pics but you're allowed to run them down? Better hit that RESET button. |

Obvious or not, he is a serving cabinet minister is he not? After all you have constantly stated that that I'm on the sidelines doing nothing. Yet he is a minister saying the same...... You're either 100% in favour of the govenment ot not, no cherry picking! As for sensible observations, I noticed your sensible one above regarding Gambia and draining our pockets yet castigating me regarding innocent children and drinking water.....any comment on that? |

Yes we know that & I know for certain that you know I agree with that. The problem is that since 2008 many issues of corruption, bribery, fraud, tax evasion, tax avoidance, taxpayer funded bailouts... ...and those did not occur in 3rd world countries but our own here in the West. The most insulting one to our intelligence is the current issue of the USA. I'll say it again, until nations are prosperous enough all foreign aid in times of severe austerity be curtailed, not stopped. As for our own nation, what do we see continuously for the past several years.... ....Loose lips and loose flies. So according to some, we just have to sit back and accept it? |

Well I'll be blowed! The brain really does have a reset button. Body Clock "Reset" button found "The team at Kyoto University has found the clock's 'reset button' inside the brain." Think a few posters on these boards need to reset theirs :) |

Reset button? Pish tosh. I've already had a quiet word with ID. Intelligent design? Ooops 'fraid not! God's prototype Sirius Mk1 has been a disappointing failure. The next Sirius MkII with have a much more important addition, an on/off switch! Naw, Intelligent Design got it wrong so kept trying until they got it right...now at Mk No: MXCMXCIX. Think the politicians could do with that reset switch so it saves them coming out with crap on their return from summit meetings. Saying that though, The US sure could do with their muppets with a reset switch. |

The first article indicates that his daughter spoke differently to her friends than she did to him. Don't we all do that? My accent definitely changes when i go back home to my parents compared to at work in the uni. Having been born in Lancashire then brought up in North Yorkshire i have quite a strong northern accent, but learned to speak in a more neutral way at university because some people had trouble understanding me, particularly the foreign students (Chinese, Africans, Americans, etc) to whom English wasn't their first language. This variation in language is perfectly normal and nothing to get het up about. The second article also has some interesting points about it. I'll reserve judgement on what age people should be allowed to drive, i passed at 17 and have managed not to kill myself or anyone else. This line particularly caught my eye: During this stage, drivers will face the curfew and all those under 30 will be banned from carrying any passengers also under 30.I really hope this is a typo. No passengers under 30 if the driver is under 30, that is neither fair nor practical. Statistics show that more than a fifth of deaths on British roads in 2011 involved drivers aged 17-24.For this statistic to be any use it needs quantifying. What fraction of drivers are 17-24, if it's around a fifth then of course around a fifth of deaths will involve them. A couple of lines later it says that they drive 5% of the total miles, but a very important detail would be where those miles are. Trying to lump these together into such broad statistics isn't useful or relevant. One of the comments: As a driving instructor I welcome these proposals.Course you do, the government is proposing a minimum of 120 hours driving tuition, at £24/h, that's £2,880. That's quite an ulterior motive. I personally passed with 8 hours of lessons, at £20/h, that's £160, so under these new proposals with 120 hours i'd have been £2,240 worse off. Sigh..... It's called, "Being ignorant", and that's all she is!! Totally chooses to ignore the fact that her choice of having a large family was made possible only by the child allowances paid to her for all her children. Had child allowance been limited to just the first two children only....she most probably would only ever have had two children and no more. This woman is clearly an idiot and no doubt her children will turn out to be the same. Unfortunately for them by the time they start the game of mass issue this child allowance, free en-mass for all, will have been curtailed and limited to the first two children only. Sigh..... Some people should have been sterilised at birth. Although i do retain my usual scepticism as to how much of that story is verifiably true, the mail's record in this area is not exactly 100%. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

So this is where the Fascists of London congregate. Really Gone Fishing, It's all down to the point that she can have as many children as she likes providing that she can pay for their upkeep. Her intention here is to have all these children at the cost to the state, drawing in £900 per week in benefits and living a very comfortable life. What would the UK become if all mother chose to follow this line of action....we would become.... ....GREECE....and we would have no social support system for any one because our social payment system would be broke. She should be "sterilised", said Chris, a standard British remark when these events become uncovered. Actually, If she was carted off, chained to a trolley, to be forcibly sterilised Chris would be the first to kick up a big stink...and yes he would be right to do so. You have my sympathies Sirius! Envy is a debilitating disease so suggest you see a psychiatrist. With so called friends like you who the hell needs enemies? Something to give those little green spots a headache. Wednesday's lottery, didn't get any numbers whatsoever - was one of the 50 though whose raffle came up and looking forward to getting a nice beer guzzling cheque for £20,000 I'll say it again no wonder this country is screwed with the wrong people in Parliament. You'd better get your skates on and get into power so you can cancel the Lotto. I really enjoyed lighting my cigar with a £50 note. |

You show real enthusiasm there WaxMan i'm surprised you don't upgrade your skill set so you could do the procedure yourself. Just give me legal immunity and a scalpel... Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |
