Well, let's hope he doesn't go out the same way as one of his predecessors...

Apologies for the static around here Simonator, must be a bad line. No one has died, just the birth of a future King. I'm not even sure you will see him reign!

Prince William is a few years older than me, i might see George crowned, but only just.

You've heard about buying it on your plastic, well here it is!

Plastic money

I've handled Australian notes, and couldn't see anything wrong with them, and if they'll survive the washing machine i'm all for plastic.

One comment i have about that report though, the caption for the video reads:
The general public react to the prototype polymer Bank of England £10 note: "It looks fake"
I've watched the video, at i didn't hear anyone say "It looks fake" or anything approaching that. Naughty BBC, that's a tabloid trick, you should be above such things.

Sadly, not these days it seems. They probably read the Mail.

The same 'newspaper' that is now calling for men to get pre-conviction anonymity in rape trials, after running three stories a day about Le Vell for the last fortnight. A tad hypocritical methinks.

Annus horribilis

Aw, poor dears. Well the senior management can drown their sorrows in a few pints with the extra payoffs they received.

Now the CPS should be investigated for ever bring the LeVell case to court. Also, the woman bringing the accusation should be tried for lying and wasting Police time.
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Yep, Muppets and Snivel Serpents are the best names for those who work in our "cloud cockoo" system.....

driving license scam operated from inside a Magistrate's court

110 occasions, any MP's among his clients?

Maybe we should just pay the taxman once a year and what we think they're worth

how many more within the tax office not doing their jobs correctly?

Labour will abolish "bedroom tax"

Then on their return to parliament, the tories will reintroduce it. It would be better travelling on the circle line :)

Edit:

err, Sir Humphrey, you better visit the Commons more and do something about this....

Lib-Dems given up on 75% of voters

.....So no coalition then in 2015 :)

Nice payrise

Parliament a family run business

How about getting the bus to work or exercise by walking

Fun at the Conference 1

Fun at the Conference 2

"Hopping into bed with Miliband or Cameron after the next election will bring its problems. But it's clear Mr Clegg believes that's better than being all alone in a cold bed."

Don't think their wives would appreciate that!

"The truth is that he has broken his promises, and backed the Tories all the way. Nick Clegg and his party must take responsibility for their government's failure which has caused the cost of living crisis families are facing."

Ain't that the Truth!

p.s. the dreaded 10th bin will be a sin bin for those getting stroppy on Seti boards, AKA the naughty step.

Think you need to get out more & smell the roses, so to get you in the mood, stare at this for a little while.....

So when can we expect "bin line" technology?

That'll just cause an increase in the amount of fly tipping.

My local council has a good system. We have two bins, black and orange. Organic and non-recyclable waste in black, recyclables (glass, tins, plastic, etc) in orange. Two different trucks collect each bin.
Organic stuff goes into a digester which produces methane gas and compost, the methane is burnt to produce electricity which powers the plant, any excess is fed into the grid.
Recyclable stuff is sorted by a massive machine into glass, plastics etc, which are then sent away for processing.
Nice simple system, the bins are collected every week, and very rarely does anyone have a complaint.

If it takes policeman 40 minutes to go to the toilet they need to eat more fibre!

Oh boy
Well, that's another one off the public purse.

How grown up are the Lib Dems?

Both male and female members told a meeting they were pestered or groped by party figures
At least they're equal opportunities lechs.

You'd do better to just stop reading the Mail.

Apologies for posting twice in a row. I just didn't want people to get too excited. It was always agreed that in the months approaching the next general election, both sides of the coalition would be free to campaign separately on behalf of their individual parties and policies. There was, and is, no intention to formally disband the coalition government.

Vince Cable is simply being mischievous and chucking his hat into the ring well in advance of an expected leadership election in 2 or 3 years time. There is a time honoured universal agreement that "what is said at conference, stays at conference". He would do well to remember that.

Cable

The coalition could break up before its five-year term is over, Business Secretary Vince Cable has said.

Well anything could happen. The zombie apocalypse where we'll all have to scavenge for supplies and fend off hoards a slavering mutants could happen. They're making rather too much of this.
