When you hit the update button, what does your event log say? |

If you want some help first you need to unhide your hosts. Anyway nobody could do nothing with this unhiden info, don´t be afraid. |

Anyway nobody could do nothing with this unhiden info, don´t be afraid. Just hide it from one of my friends. Now unhide. As for log - I'll put it tomorrow. Now can't access to servers (it from my work) http://boincstats.com/signature/0/user/2449327/project/sig.png http://boincstats.com/signature/0/team/88019747/project/sig.png |

Anyway nobody could do nothing with this unhiden info, don´t be afraid. Uh oh. First thing I'd be checking is the 'at work' firewall. |

The two computers in the first post can only crunch Setiathome Enhanced WUs, but no Setiathome v7 WUs, because they don't have the applications required for that. You are using the anonymous platform and have to install the required applications by yourself or you have to use the installer from Lunatics. The third possibility is to reset the Seti project on the computers and crunch using stock applications from Berkeley. [edit] STOP!!! I just saw, these hosts are running FreeBSD, i think, you are on your own getting new applications... :? Aloha, Uli |

I just saw, these hosts are running FreeBSD, i think, you are on your own getting new applications... :? I did PM dotsch a couple of weeks ago and notify him of Seti's move to v7 and that his v5 and v6 apps would soon be obsolete, he should have started porting v7, when apps are available and in what order is anybody's guess. I just saw, these hosts are running FreeBSD, i think, you are on your own getting new applications... :? A while back there was another fellow using one of the BSDs and, as far as I can tell, he was running stock Linux apps. To do that would require installing Linux compatibility libs and setting up BOINC so that it tells the server that it can run Linux apps. FreeBSD port of BOINC might be set up like that out of the box. On the other hand, FreeBSD might have Seti apps in its package management system (the stderr hints in that direction). If so, that package could already be updated and it would just be a matter of installing it. |

Don't know if this is of any help : BOINC v7.0.x is available in FreeBSD ports. There is also a lunatics AstroPulse app for 64bit FreeBSD available. http://lunatics.kwsn.net/index.php?module=Downloads;sa=dlview;id=348 A lunatics seti@home v7 app has currently very low priority. _\|/_ U r s |
