Australia is kicking up as well over this. Well there is one very simple answer isn't there? We scrap the Commonwealth. We've given so many countries their independence now that what is left is hardly worth keeping anyway. Australia has long wanted to be a republic, so fine, let them all get on with it. We have a history of great Queens, Boudica, Elizabeth I, Victoria, Elizabeth II, let's have another one!

If these bolshie colonials want to upset the Mother Country's wishes, then the answer is simple, SOD OFF! We will do it without you. And people wonder why the British hate the French, well this is yet another reason. And I'll tell you what else as well. We dislike Brussels meddling with our laws as it is, but anyone who starts meddling with the British Monarchy will start WWIII. Every manjack of us from peasant, freeman, to nobleman, will man the barricades to defend the throne of England.

Now, I like Canadians, I have family and friends both in Vancouver, and Toronto, and I find them nice people. But this Quebec lot are a whole different kettle of fish. Their problem is that they've never forgiven the British for beating the French in 1759 to take control of Quebec.
